Entered service May 25, 1918. Was sent to Camp Cody. Assigned to 127th Field Artillery, 34th Div., then to Camp Upton, N. Y., September 15, 1918.

On account of having an attack of pneumonia he was not permitted to go overseas with his brigade; was held at Camp Upton. Discharged March 15, 1919.

Harry proved up two quarters in 8, 6S 44W in 1920.

In 1920 Kit Carson County, Harry is living alone, 31, farming. Next household is Christoff Bauder, 30, with Celia H. 25 Nebraska and their two daughters.
Harry is single in 1930 Morgan County, Colorado, a farm laborer for Homer and Anna Cole.
Harry married Claire Dahli Vahl in 1954 in Ada County, Idaho, divorced in 1955 in Owyhee County, Idaho, married Mary Martha Wilkinson in Ada County in 1960.
In 1955 Boise, Idaho, Harry, a carpenter, and Claire D. live at 5020 W. State.
Harry 1888-1982 is buried in Boise Idaho # 61952784. So is Mary Martha Wilkinson 1891-1976 # 61952785.

Oris Barlow Whisennand of Jasper County, Illinois, married Katie Hendricks of Seibert on November 28, 1911.

One tree said he was the son of Stephen Holman and Minerva Jane Boyd, born January 1886 in Jasper County, Illinois, and that he and Katie divorced before 1920.


Christoph Friearech Bauder of Burlington passed away Oct. 29, 1971 at Colorado General Hospital in Denver at the age of 82 years and 12 days. Mr. Bauder met with an accident at Grace Manor Nursing home Oct. 6, 1971. He was rushed to Kit Carson Memorial Hospital where his condition became very serious and he was taken to Colorado General Hospital Oct. 28, passing away the following day. Mr. Bauder was born Oct. 17, 1889 and grew up northwest of Burlington. In 1909 he homesteaded northwest of Burlington.

He was united in marriage to Celia L. Whisannand Nov. 3, 1916. To this union two daughters were born, Mildred Gladys and Marjorie Muriel. Mildred preceded him in death Aug. 9, 1951. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Bauder Sr. who were pioneers in this area. He was conformed in the Lutheran faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church April 16, 1905. Chris spent most of his life farming until he moved to Burlington in 1946. He was married to Flora Lundvall Nov. 29, 1941.

He leaves to mourn one daughter, Marjorie Bias of Denver; six grandchildren, Donald Dean of Anaheim, Calif., Harvey Dean of Denver, Shairon Erdmann of Commerce City, Jerom Thomson of Bellflower, Calif., Larry Thompson of New Orleans, La., Douglas Thompson of Buena Park, Calif., and 11 great grandchildren. Also six sisters, Christian Martl, Golden, Katie Coad, Canyon City, Louise Quigglie, Wray, Mary Quigglie, Wray, Berth Cassel of Montana, Clara Loyd, Loveland, and four brothers, Andrew Jr. of Burlington and Ludwig, William and Carl who preceded him in death and a host of nieces and nephews. He was admitted to the Grace Manor Nursing Home May 1, 1969. He leaves a host of friends that knew him and also friends at the nursing home. He was laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery in Burlington. Services were from the Hendricks Mortuary, Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1971 at 1:30 p.m., Rev. Roy N. Jorgensen, officiant.
Marjorie (Bauder) Bias 1919-2004 is buried in Wheat Ridge, Colorado # 12177895. It says she died in Sebastian County, Arkansas.

Mildred might be the one buried in Keith County, Nebraska 1917-1952 # 73652163, wspouse Harry Dean 1917-2000.
