"Mr. and Mrs, Leonard C. Vose, 1720 So. 17th, have returned after attending military burial of the body of their son, Pvt. Robert S. Vose, a war casualty returned from Belgium. Private Vose was killed.Nov, 23, 1944. Reburial was made in the national cemetery at Fort Snelling, Minn. Private Vose was a graduate of Lincoln high school and attended the University of Nebraska. He entered the army air corps in 1942 and later went into ASTP and then the infantry. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, the former"

Noble County, Indiana "Kokenge Mary (Helmer), 85, widow of Charles Kokenge who died 30 years ago, died Monday at her home here. She was a native and lifelong resident of the community. Death was due to a heart attack. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church from where last rites will be held today with burial in the church cemetery. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mary Lockhart, Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Acella Vose, Lincoln, Neb., and Miss Loretta Kokenge, at home; and three sons, Urban of Miami, Fla., Edward of Auburn, and Charles at home; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother John Helmer of Auburn. ~ 7-15-1948 "
