Louis (about 39) died in the 1918 flu epidemic, while Emma was pregnant with Amanda, "Peggy." Later, she married Logan Fouts, and they had a daughter, Jane Fouts.

In 1930 Custer County, Nebraska, Emma is 47, married to Logan Fouts, 34.
"Mansfred" A. Fouts is 18, Willard A. 15, Hulbert E. 13, Amanda J. 11 - and they have Jane M. 4.


Margaret Hulda Waechter was born January 12, 1906, and died as Margaret Riggsby in Monterey County, California on December 11, 1990.

Eva A. (Waechter) Deleski 1909-1999 is buried in Livermore, California # 10606735, with Edward J. Deleski 1902-1971.

"Eva A. Waechter was born to Emma (Nowack) & Louis John Waechter on Thursday, October 14, 1909.
She married Edward "Ed" Deleski. They had two children: Colleen, and Eddie. They adopted her sister Amanda "Peggy."
She was a fantastic seamstress. She made all of the doll gowns for her daughter Colleen's porcelian dolls. Colleen poured the porcelian & painted the dolls, and Eva clothed them.
She loved beautiful flowers adorning her yard. "

He was known as "Boss" Waechter all of his life. He was an irrigation farmer in North Platte, Nebraska for many years. "

Amanda (Waechter) Anderson 1918-1960 is buried in Peoria, Illinois.

Peggy was 41 when she died of lung cancer.
"Peggy" was born to Louis & Emma Waechter in Blue Hill, NE , adopted by her sister Eva and brother-in-law Ed Deleski, who was in the US Army.
Sister; Mrs. Margaret Riggsby of Palo Alto, Ca, Mrs Eva Deleski of Livermore, Ca, Jane Johnson of North Platte, Neb; brothers Martin Waechter of Hayward, Manfred Waechter of Panama City, Fla, Willard Waechter of Palmer, Neb, Hilbert "Boss" Waechter of North Platte, Neb. One brother, Bernard, preceded her in death.
She grew up in Nebraska, then moved with her sister and brother-in-law and went to high school in Wahiawa, Oahu, Hawaii. She graduated from high school in Lake Forest, Illinois.
As a little child, she always wanted to grow up and have grandchildren. She died seven years before her first grandchild was born.
She did sketches & did oil paintings, sang & played the guitar. She liked to sketch birds & squirrels. She sketched Jesus on the Cross also. She designed our well by painting ivy on it.
She made all of my little dresses & bloomers when I was little, but stopped when she started working.
She had red tulips that she dug up each year, and replanted each spring.
She married Corp. Paul Leroy Anderson July 05, 1940 in Fort Madison, Lee County, Iowa at the First Methodist Church. She wore a fitted dress of daisy crepe with a blue background, with white accesories. The Bride's mother & sister attended. Paul's mother (Minnie) and sister (Shirley) served as attendants. They went home to their home at Fort Sheridan, Illinois above Chicago.

She attended Arcadia Presbyterian Church in Peoria, IL.
She died of cancer at 41. She had worked in a plant where there were plastic, and paint fumes. We think that is how she got lung cancer. She did NOT ever smoke!
Her last home was N. Pleasant Hill Road, East Peoria, IL, before that she had lived ten years at 3109 W. Glen Avenue, Peoria, Illinois.

In 1900 Webster County, Nebraska, Chris Waechter born March 1864 in Germany, married ten years to Lizzie October 1868 Wisconsin, have Eda May 1891, Louie Sept 1892, Clara April 1894, Carl February 1896, and Ella June 1898, all kids born in Nebraska.

Louie is a farm laborer for his father in 1910 Webster County, age 17, siblings Edith M. 17, Carl G. 14, Ella E. 12, Minnie A. 9, Fritz J. 6, Harold A. 3, and Howard G. seven months old.

Louie Jacob Waechter registered for WWI in Blue Hill, Nebraska, born September 12, 1892 in Blue Hill, farming, married.

Louie claimed two quarters in section 29, 6S 46W in 1917.
In 1920 Webster County, Louie is 27, Jennie 25, Viola 2, and Herbert seven months, all born in Nebraska. Jennie's sister Trena Rose 14 is with them.

In 1930 Kit Carson County, Louie is farming, 37, Jennie 25, Viola 12, Herbert 10, Raymond L. 6 born in Nebraska, and Goldie M. 2 born in Colorado. Virginia E. Felch 24 born in Michigan is lodging with them, a school teacher.
