Lewis must have gone to Canada after his Kit Carson County claim.

Lewis was born at Wilsonville, Nebraska, and had been in Lost Lake Canada, coming back into Sweet Grass, Montana in June 1912, and renounced Canadian citizenship.

Lewis is farming in Millard County Utah when registering ffor WWI, born June 10, 1881. Nearest relative Mrs. Alice harned of SLompoc, California, so he must be single.

"L.E." Harned is single in 1930, farming in 1930 Los Angeles, 48 born in Nebraska.
He's a ranch worke in 1940 Los Angeles, living alone.

Lewis died Sept 3, 1967 in Los Angeles County.
Lewis Clement Harned 1881-1967 is buried in Glendale California # 59060593, spouse Lillian Roberta Harned 1872-1963 # 59060816.
His father William Silas Harned 1853-1943 is also buried in California, in a different cemetery thatn hhis mother Alice Catherine (Stambaugh) Harned 1853-1924.

Most of the family ended up in California.
"Chester, Sylva Harned" 1891 - 1918 is buried in Live Oak Cemeteryh, Los Angeles.
