James A. and Nancy A. (Bowen) Boren, 7 South 49 West


In 1880 Texas County, Missouri, James Boren is 45, Elisabeth 37, Henry T. 21, Amelia 16, Eliza A. 14, Louisa H. 12, James A. 10, and Charles E. 6.

In 1880 Texas, County, Joseph Bowen is farming, 40, with Margaret 37, both born in North Carolina. Mary 20, William 18, Lucinda E. 13, Nancy 10, John J. 8, George L. 6, Lennard 2, and newborn daughter all born in Missouri.
James Boren 1829-1911 is buried in Texas County 11058665 with first wife Elizabeth 1835-1882 # 11058660 and second wife Amelia 1835-1908 # 11070023.

Joseph Jackson Brown 1833-1922 is buried in Plato, Missouri # 3378551.

Joseph Jackson Bowen was born in Randolph county, North Carolina, August 9, 1833; died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Lee, near Plato, Texas county, Missouri, April 27, 1922; aged 88 years, 8 months, 18 days.

He was married to Margaret Johnson October 26, 1859. To this union were born ten children, four boys and six girls. Four of the girls and his wife have preceded him to the better world. Mrs. Bowen died January 22, 1890. Two daughters, Margaret Jane and Margaret Samantha, died in infancy; two, Mary Angelina Fulks and and Nancy Aphia Bowen, in the bloom of womanhood. The other children are William E. Bowen, Hagerman, New Mexico; John J. Bowen, Bisbee, Arizona; Lotta Belle Wilson, Helix, Oregon; Leonard L. Bowen, Lynchburg, Mo.; George S. Bowen and Lucinda Lee, of Plato. The last three were with him during his last illness.

He came to Missouri in 1859 and settled at Roby. Both he and his wife united with the Christian church shortly after and were faithful workers for Christ. After his wife's death he was married to Mrs. Lydia Carter, who also passed to the great beyond several years ago. He spent the last ten years at the home of his daughter, where he died. Was in poor health for a number of years. All that tender, loving hands could do was done to relieve his suffering, which was terrible the last two weeks of life. But the end came peacefully at 7:30 Thursday morning at the above date.

James A. Boren married Nancy A. Bowin on October 8, 1893 in Plato, Texas County, Missouri.

J. Arthur Bowen proved up a quarter in 7, 7S 49W in 1919.

In 1920 Kit Carson County, James A. Boren is farming, widowed, 49.  Nellie 20, Erna 18, Earl 15, Annie 13, and Cecil 10 were all born in Missouri.


In 1930 Kit Carson County, James is farming, and his son-in-law Arthur Scheideger 30 born in Colorado with Emily E. 28, and their two granddaughters. Anna Boren, 6 is with them.

In 1940 Kit Carson County, James is farming, 68, and Cecil J. 30 and his wife Elise 31 are with him. Patricia L. is 5, Marjorie L. 3. James 1870-1955 is buried in Seibert # 37911421, with Nancy A. 1869-1916 # 37911372.  

# 194275573 Dottie Boren Clowers was the spouse of Roy Davis Clowers (born in Missouri March l6, 1894, died Feb 19, 1961 in Santa Cruz, CA).

Nellie Mae Bartlett was born March 30, 1899 at Lynchburg, Missouri to James A. Boren and Nancy Affa, dying October 29, 1991 She’s buried in Fort Collins # 103766851, with Ben Bartlett 1898-1974  

Erna, age 20, married Arthur W. Scheidegger on Feb 7, 1922 in Hugo, Colorado.

"Arther Wellington Scheidegger was born on Aug. 16, 1900 in Flagler, Colorado and died on Nov. 11, 1987 in Henderson, Colorado. He married Erna Leona Boren. Erna Leona, daughter of James Boren and Nancy, was born on Feb. 7, 1902 in Lynchburgh, Mossouri and died on Jul. 6, 1982 in Fort Collins Colorado. "

Erna L. Scheidegger 1902-1982 is buried in Fort Collins # 52387826, with Arthur W. 1900-1986.

Anna G. Boren married Ernest A. Bancroft on September 29, 1926, recorded in Colorado Springs.

James Earl Boren was born Sept 22, 1904 at Southard, Missouri, living with Edith at Seibert when registering for WWII.
He's buried in Seibert 1904-1976 # 36858900, with Edith Mae 1902-1980.


February 1969 Santa Fe, New Mexico " Delbert Floyd Pederson, 51, died Friday at his home In Los Alamos. Mr. ' Pederson, a resident o Los Alamos for Ihe past 20 years was employed by Cream- land Dairies. He was a member of the Los Alamos Sheriff's Posse and the First Baptist Church He is survived by his wife Jewell, a son Delbert Jr. of Los Alamos and two daughters Mrs. Linda Brown of Lubbock Tex., and Myma Pederson, a student in Las Cnices; four sisters, Mrs. Marvin Reaves of Denver, Co!o., Mrs. Harvey Veiths of Fruit Lake, Idaho Mrs. Cecil Boren of Seibert Colo, and Mrs. John Bear o Los Angeles, Calif. "

In 1981 Cecil retired from farming, and had an auction at his farm eight miles north of Seibert on Highway 59. Cecil Joseph Boren 1909-1995 is buried in Seibert # 36859163, with Elise 1909-1990.
