Yesterday morning about 4:30 a snow slide took off the roof of the boarding bouse at the Boss mine, on Rock creek, and filled the house with snow, smothering the cook, John Lloyd, who was asleep in his bed. He was the only one that slept in the house, and the sad affair was not discovered till the boys went to breakfast at 5 o'clock. When the body was dug out it was found that be must have died instantly. Lloyd bad a sister, Mrs. Thomas Dayus, who lives at Dillon."
