"Rosita Sutton McSwigan, known as Rosie by all, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2003, in Pleasanton, CA. She was 87 years young. Rosita was born in Tampico, Mexico on September 22, 1915 and spent her young years both in Mexico and Denver with the latter being her home for almost 60 years. She and her husband spent 23 years operating the Arapahoe Valley Pet Cemetery giving much comfort to so many people and their pets. Rosita loved bowling, bridge, dancing and music with always a needlepoint project for loved ones at her side. She will be remembered as glamorous and spirited in her youth; devoted mother and companion; adored friend and neighbor. We thank you for the fabric you have woven into each and every one of us. "Love is who she was, what she gave and what she left with us." She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Vernon Walter Drain in 1958 and her husband, Paul J. McSwigan in 1983. Rosita is survived by her daughter, Sally Rose Ide of Norwood, CO, and her son, Thomas J. Drain of Aurora, CO. She was blessed with three granddaughters from Northern California, Simone Nelson, Gina Johnson and Jennifer Ide; and five great grandsons, Brandon and Brady Johnson, Tyler, Griffin and Carter Nelson. Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life were held in Pleasanton, CA on April 16, 2003. Graveside service and interment to be held on the morning of May 9 at 9:30 at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Wheat Ridge, Colorado."
