Ira William Meacham, 24, married Sarah C. Long on March 10, 1864 in Cass County, Michigan.

In 1880 Cass County, William is a hardware merchant 39, with Sarah 38, Cora 15, Nettie 13, and Helen 12, all born in Michigan.

In 1900 Independence, Kansas, Wm. is a landlord, born January 1840, with Sarah May 1841, with Cara born May 1865, all born in Michiagn. Another daughter Helen Grist born May 1868 is a saleslady with a daughter Mimi August 1889 born in Kansas.

Funeral Tomorrow Evening
William Ira Meacham passed from this mortal existence at his home, 208 South Fourth street at 12:45 this morning ot diabetes. He was born at Edwardsburg, Cass county, Michigan, January 27, 1840, and came to Independence, Kansas, where he has resided the greater part of the time since December, 1881. He was a Union soldier, a member of the Sixth Michigan Infantry and in the service lost his health. He had been a Free Mason forty years and his ancestry in this country dates from the landing of the Mayflower. He leaves a widow, Mrs. Sarah C. Meacham, and three daughters, Mrs. Lew Wilhelm, Mrs. H. G. Brown, both of Beaumont, Texas, and Mrs. C. K. Seymour, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who at present is with her only child, Mrs. Valolle Evans In Seattle, Washington. He leaves no other near relatives except three grandchildren, a great grandson and two or three first cousins. The funeral will be held tomorrow evening at 5 o'clock from the family residence and will be in charge of the Masons, of which order the deceased was a member."

Cara Wilhelm died in Beaumont Texas on June 17, 1934, to be buried in Magnolia Cemetery.

In 1920 Beaumont, Texas, Annette, 50, born in Michigan, is married to Herbert D. Brown 55 of Ohio. Her mother Sarah Meacham 79, born in New York, widowed, is with them.

Herbert, born December 7, 1865 in Ohio, died April 10, 1928 in Beaumont, to be buried in Magnolia Cemetery.

Annette Brown, born October 19, 1866, died in the San Antonio State Hospital on June 6, 1945, to be buried in Beaumonth.

Josephine Griest, 21, daughter of J.G. Griest and Helen Meacham, married Albert DeVallis Evans on August 20, 1910 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

In 1920 Seattle, Helen is 58, married to Charles K. Seymour, 61. Albert and Josephine Evans have Helen 5 and Charles 3.
Charles Kendall Seymour 1857-1944 is buried in Glendale, California # 85514981.
So is Helen M. (Meacham) Seymour # 85514997.

Josephine Mimi Evans 1889-1959 is buried in Pacific Grove, California # 129758048.
