1890 Logansport, Indiana "Mr. Walter S. Newhall a civil engineer in the Pan Handle offices in this city, and Miss Fannie Tipton, were united in marriage at the residence of the bride's parents OH east Market street at noon to-day. The newly married couple left on a trip through Wisconsin this afternoon in Genl. Supt. Walt's special car No. 202 which had been tendered them by the Genl. Superintendent, himself. Both young people are well known in the city and their many friends wish them happiness and bliss. Miss Fannie Tipton comes from one of the oldest families in the city and moves in the best society. Mr. Newhall is a young man of ability and good address."
"Mr. Walter Newhall and bride returned from their wedding trip yesterday. They will at once go to housekeeping in the house lately occupied by Superintendent Watte, on Spear street."

1891 " It is learned with regret that Walter S. Newhall, assistant engineer maintainance of way in the. Pan. Handle offices at this, place has .been transferred to New Castle, Pa., the change to take effect soon. Mr. and Mrs. Newhall will move-to that place- in the course of a few weeks."

1893 Logansport "Word was received here yesterday of Walter S. Newhall's promotion to the responsible position of Engineer of Maintenance of Way of the Toledo division of the Pan Handle. His new position carries with it a handsome increase in salary. Mr. Newhall, formerly assistant engineer M. of W. here, left Logansport about two years and has been assistant on the Pittsburg division, though yet quite a young man he has abilities and energy which are justly recognized in this promotion and his many friends here congratulate him on his success."

This Walter Newhall was founder of the Newhall Company, building concrete bridges and docks and foundations, employing from 500 to 1,000 men, so he's not the Logan County, Colorado one.

"Carrie L. Kimball b Sept 20, 1856 m Oct 14, 1877 Walter E. Newhall of Saugus, Massachusetts." This one is a painter in 1920 Massachusetts, so probably not the Logan County one.

1907 Silverton, Colorado "Walter Newhall, watchman on the Henrietta, was brought to town Sunday suffering from what was supposed to be an attack of pneumonia. He is stopping at the Hoffman house and is considered out of danger."
