"Caroline Gilkey DeLano, born in Hamilton County Ohio married Nathan Stanley DeLano. In their early years two of Nathan's siblings lived with them after parents Richard and Jane Dill DeLano died. Caroline lived on the tobacco farm and raised the children. According to her diary dated 1888-1889 the family was close and all pitched in to work the farm. Some left early to explore the west while others stayed to work the farm. Son Alvin Cecil DeLano and his wife Carrie Powell DeLano migrated to Alabama in early 1900's. Son Pascal Angus DeLano was out west being a "cowboy" as Caroline put it. "

Mildred May (Delano) Goodson 1897-1958 is buried in Houston, and her husband James Wiliam Goodson 1884-1940.
