The fire burned over about 120 acres in all. Mr. Dunn places his damages at $500."

"Son of Thomas and Mary Ann (Eno) Robins. Born in Manvis, Canada. In the spring of 1879 he came to Grundy Center and carried mail across the prairies from Cedar Falls to Marshalltown before there were any railroads in this section of the country. On January 5, 1882, he was united in marriage to Caroline Susan Brockway of Hanland (or Lock Porte), New York. With his wife he came to Grundy Center to make their home. There were seven children, Grace and Marie preceded him in death. The surviving children are Mrs. Jennie Dunn, Estes Park, Colo.; Fred Robins, Reinbeck; Frank Robins, Cedar Falls; Mrs. Vera Greany and Arthur of Grundy Center; besides two brothers, Lewis A. of Brandon and Warren L of Grundy Center; 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mr. Robins was friend to everyone that knew him, and always willing to help anyone in need."

She was a member of the Methodist Church in Grundy Center, Iowa and was affiliated with Radiant Chapter No. 12 O.E.S., Denver. Her husband died in 1957. She is survived by a son, Glenn Dunn of Manitou Springs; a sister Very Greany of Grundy Center, Iowa; two grandson, four great-grandchildren, 11 nephews and one niece."
