William D. Delaitte was born July 16, 1834, married Mary Hall on October 20, 1854. He was the son of Mary Noble 1786. She married Michael Delaittre born in New York June 5,k 1791. They lived in Maine in 1856. In 1870 Stephenson County, Illinois, Wm. D. Delate is farming 38, born in Maine, with Mary 40 in Vermonth. Mary is 14, Ella 10, both born in Vermont. John is 10, Lizzie five months.
George W. Delate is 50, Lucy A. 44, Anna 16, Seth 13, and George 1.

Mary Hall was born at Andover, Vermont, June 18, 1825 and was married to Wm. DeLate (DeLaittre, name changed by Mary or son John in early 1900's to DeLate) at Belvidere, Ill., Dec. 3, 1854; moved to Nora, Ill., in Sep. 1856; in March 1878, she with her children moved to Republic county, Kansas; and in 1884 to Frontier county, Nebr., where she resided until about four years ago, when she came to Farnam and lived with her daughter until the day of her death.
Her life has been a remarkably active and energetic one. She rarely was sick, but was constantly doing, not only of herself, but for her children, grandchildren and neighbors. Her heart and purse were ever open to the call of the needy and her time and services were at all times cheerfully given to those who were sick or in distress.
She was a woman of remarkable intellect, had excellent business ability, was a great reader and took the most lively interest in all passing events. Her life has been lived grandly; her work well done, on earth, and she has gone to her reward; to that grander life of greater possibilities, it may expand and develop throughout the ages of eternity.
Out of a family of ten children, only two brothers, Norman Hall of Afton, New York, and F. M. Hall of Earl, Nebr., survive her. They together with one son, two daughters, seventeen grandchildren and other relatives mourn her loss and rejoice at her entrance into that higher life. She was 79 years, nine months and two days old at death.

In 1880 Republic County, Kansas, Lizzie Delete is 11, born in Illinois, with Mary 54, John 19, and his wife Elzina 18.

In 1900 Red Willow County, Nebraska, Robert George is farming, born Nov 1850 in New York, married 15 years to Lizzie Feb 1870 Illinois. Elma was born Feb 1887, Elva March 1889, and Oswin March 1891, all three in Nebraska.

November 1938 "Robert Ellwin George, 88, of Gering. died yesterday. He homesteaded in Red Willow county in 1884 and farmed there 15 years. In poor health four years, he previously was in the real estate business in western Nebraska. A son, a In 1910 Logan County, Elizabeth George is 40, widowed, born in Illinois. Elva Eleanor George 22 is teaching.

In December 1910 Mrs. Elizabeth George was delinquent on taxes for a lot in Sterling.
February 1925 Brush, Colorado "Dr. George, who has been visiting her daughter at Gehring. Neb., was in Brush last week. She was en route to California."

Elizabeth D. George claimed a tract in section 10 and 11, 10N 52W in 1915.
In 1920 Brush, Elizabeth George is 49, Elva 29, and Elwin 27.

August 1918 Brush, Colorado "Dr. George of Sterling and Dr. E. George of Brush attended the Osteopathic convention at Colorado Springs the first of the week."

July 1923 "Dr. George, of Iliff, was in Brush Tuesday. The doctor says that crops are looking fine in his neighborhood. He has four hundred acres of fall wheat, that he thinks will make around thirty bushels per acre, and with the moisture in the ground at this time, there is no doubt about the crop. His wheat is on summer fallowed land and he says that he does all his work with tractor machinery, and while he is not entirely satisfied, yet he thinks it will more successful than horses, as he can get his work done much quicker can till the ground a deal deeper."
Eleanor 42 and brother Ellweyn 38 are living together in 1930 Los Angeles.

December 30, 1908 "Miss Roberta Elma George, of Cambridge, Neb., and Mr. Fred Sells, of Sterling, were married on Christmas morning, the Rev. Frederic Tevis Kreueger officiating. "

September 1916 Brush Dr. Sells left the first of the week for Kirkwall, Mo., where she will take special work on eye, ear, nose and throat diseases in the American School of Osteopathy. Dr. George, her sister, will attend to their practice here.



In 1917 Dr. Roberta George Scott is an osteopathic physician in Gering, Nebraska.

March 1923 Brush, Colorado "The Gem's fashion show at Yuma last Saturday was a success in every way. The crowd was all that could be expected and they were very enthusiastic over the costumes, which were beautiful. The costumes, besides being elaborate, were well chosen, and those taking part did justice to the costumer. Those participating in the play were Dr. Elva George .Misses Millice.it Colwell, Grace Isom. Marjorie Stromsoe, Clara Markham and Mary Hogsett. Little Peachie Sells, a niece of Dr. George, took a prominent part."

ALSO Roberta is a doctor in 1930 Long Beach, 43, born in Nebraska, married. Eleanor G. 18 was born in Colorado.

In 1940 Gering, Charles H. is 56, still at the sugar factory, Roberta B. 39 born in Nebraska.

Charles is buried in Gering 1883-1969, on a stone with Dr. Roberta (George) Scott 1887-1983 # 180740171. Roberta is also on a stone in Glendale # 85513732.

Roberta's sister Elva George is in Logan County in 1910, teaching, 22, born in Nebraska, with widowed mother Elizabeth George 40 born in Illinois.

June 1915 Brush, Colorado "Dr. Elva E. George, osteopathic physician of Sterling, has located in Brush with offices located in the Maris home. Dr. George is a graduate of the Kirksville, Mo., School of Osteopathy and comes to Brush highly recommended.

"On October the 6th, 1920 occurred the marriage of Dr. Elva George to Mr. W. D. Kaucher, of Kansas City, Mo. The ceremony took place at Pueblo, Colo., at the Holy Trinity Episcopal church, at 2 p. m., the Rev. Albert Mack officiating. After a few days spent at different Colorado points including a short stay at the home of the groom’s mother, Mrs. Frank Kaucher, of Littleton, they returned to Brush, where they were entertained at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. C. H. Scott. Dr. Elva will continue in practice here for the present. Mr. Kaucher, who is a promising young business man of Kansas City, returned to his business the first of the week. Mrs. Kaucher who is well and favorably known here, has been prominent in social and professional circles. Her many friends with them a very happy future.
