July 1912 "G.W. Hicks was a passenger on Monday's train from Denver. He will spend a few days with his family."
In 1913 Verne Persing was a guest at a party given by Chester Gibson. Others were the Misses Dorothy and Lovilla Hicks, Undine Teets, Edith Utter, Richard Hicks, and Percy Gilbert.

February 1914 Belvidere, Illinois "A merry crowd of people wended their way by the bob sled route to the country home of Richard Hicks and his estimable wife last evening. It was planned as a farewell surprise to Mr. and Mrs. Hicks who expect to move to Belvidere to reside the first of March; also as a farewell to their son, George and family, who have been visiting here for some time, and who today leave for their home in Padroni, Colo. A candy pull and music whiled the hours away all too quickly, after which an oyster supper, and other de.."

George, an engineer for the city water works, and Carrie are in Belivdere, Illinois, living alone.

"Mrs. Carrie A. Hicks, 68, wife of George Hicks, died at the family home, 1010 Whitney boulevard at 3:30 yesterday afternoon. Her death followed an extended sickness from complication of ills.
The daughter of Mr and Mrs. Phillip Koeneke, she was born on a farm near Camp Epworth June 26 1873, and had been a resident here all of her life with the exception of 14 months spent in Colorado. Her marriage to Mr. Hicks took place here on May 18, 1893.
She was a member of the South Baptist church and the B. of R. T. auxiliary.
Besides her husband,, she leaves a son, Richard P. Hicks, of Denver, Colo; two daughters, Mrs. Adam Holroyd, of Marengo; and Mrs. E. L. Judd, of Boulder, Colo; a sister, Mrs. Emma Oilman, of Amboy, ?? and three brothers, William and John Koeneke, both of this city; and the Rev. Phillip Koeneke, of Chili, Wis. She also leaves nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild. A son, Willis, died in 1903 at the age of eight years and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon. Private rites at the Atkins-Johnson funeral home will be followed by the public service at 2 o'clock at the South Baptist church with the Rev. R. D. Walter officiating. Burial will be in Belvidere."
"Estate of Carrie A. Hicks, Deceased The undersigned having been appointed Administrator of the Estate of Carrie A. Hicks, de ceased, hereby gives notice that Monday, the first day of Septem ber, 1941 ... is the claim date for said estate, and that all claims may be filed against the estate of the said decedent on or before said date without issuance of summons. Willis Hicks 1895-1903 is on the same tombstone in Belvidere as his parents.
" George W. Hicks, former engineer at the city water department died Tuesday morning in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Dorothy M. Holroyd, in Loves Park. Mr. Hicks, who had been in ill-health for the past 18 months, had suffered several strokes.
He had been associated with the railroad for many years in addition to working for the city of Belvidere.
He was born in DeKalb county July 24, 1871, the son of Richard P. and Mary A. {Mack) Hicks, but attended rural schools in Boone county and Belvidere high school. He also attended Toulon Academy in Toulon, Wi?.
Mr. Hicks married the former Carrie Koeneke May 18, 1893. His wife and a son, Willis, preceded hhn in death.
His survivors include Mrs. Holroyd, another daughter, Mrs. Lovilla Judd, Tucson, Ariz., and a son Richard, Arvada, Colo., eight grandchildren, 19 great grand children; a sister, Mrs. Lew Marean, Belvidere, and several nieces and nephews."

Richard married Jewell V. Seifried on June 4, 1921 in Jefferson County, Colorado.

In 1930 Lakewood, Colorado, Richard is a salesman for the public utilities, with Jewell 35 born in Missouir. Jewell J. is 7, born in Colorado.

Jewell and R.P. are living in Salt Lake City in 1933.

In 1952 Jewell registered to vote in Long Beach, California, living at 1025 Locust Avenue.

Richard died November 26, 1976.

Jewell, 28, married Robert S. Spellmeyer, 32, in Los Angeles County on October 9, 1951.

Dorothy Hicks, 18, married Harold Smith on July 24, 1916 in Sterling.

They're farming in Ringgold County, Iowa in 1920, Harold 24 born in Iowa, Dorothy M. 22 in Illinois, Madge L. 2 and George K. six months both born in IOwa.
He might be the Harold Burns Smith, born April 10, 1895 in Munson Iowa to David F. Smith and Anna May Burns, an accountant for the State of California, dying on the Zephyr in Helper, Utah on Nov 7, 1960, to be buried in Oakland, California.

Anna May Smith, born at Westminster, Maryland, 1872-1976 is buried in Rocky Ford # 44067699, with David P. Smith 1871-1961 # 44067734, born in Manson, Iowa.

Dorothy, 30, married Adam Holroyd in Boone County, Illinois in 1927.

Adam, age 24, had married Hazeline A. Tuel in Dickinson County, Iowa on October 28, 1911.

In 1930 Adam is a cookware salesman in Rockford, Illinois, 41, with Dorothy 31, Gla Holroyd 12, Madge Smith 12, Richard Gla and Kennethe Smith both 11, and Robert Smith 6.

In 1940 Belvidere, Adam is 51, Dorothy 42, Gla 23, Richard and Kenneth both 20, Robert 16, and Patricia 7.

Adam is buried in Belivdere 1888-1961.

Mrs. Patricia R. Evans, 41, 2760 Jay Place, Sarasota, Fla., a former Rockford resident. died Tuesday in Sarasota after a long illness.
Mrs. Evans lived most of her life in the Rockford area before moving to Florida several years ago.
Survivors include a son, Scott, and a daughter, Julie, both at home; her mother, Mrs. Dorothy Hostettler, Sarasota; two brothers, Robert M. Holroyd, Sarasota, and G. Richard Holroyd, in England, and a sister, Mrs. Gia Youngblood, Tripoli, Iowa.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Hawkins Funeral Home, 135 N. Lime, Sarasota. with burial in Palms Memorial Park there."

Lovilla C. Hicks and Ernest L. Judd married on April 14, 1921 in Denver.

E.E. Judd, dying May 4, 1898 at age 30 in Kansas, is probably his father.

Ernest is a laborer in 1930 Weld County, 33, born in Kansas, with Lovilla 30 in Illinois. Geneivieve C. is 7, born in Colorado.

All three are in Denver in 1940, livin gon Stuart Street.

Jenevieve Carolyn Judd, born April 3, 1922 at Platteville, Colorado, was Tarbert in 1943, and died as Elliot ion February 28, 2000.
"Jenevieve Elliott, 77, of Lowell died Feb. 28, 2000, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born April 3, 1922, in Platteville, Colo., to Earnest Lyndle and Lovilla Carolyn Hicks Judd. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Springdale.
Survivors include her husband, Edward C. Elliott of the home, to whom she was married May 15, 1952; one son, John A. Elliott of Glenville, N.Y.; one daughter, Lovilla S. Dunlap of Lowell; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Unity Baptist Church in Rogers. "
