John G. Hielscher, 86, a rancher living on First Avenue near Shaw Avenue, died yesterday in the family residence following a long illness. He was born in Germany and had lived in Fresno County since 1899 and in the United States since 1882. He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fresno. The only survivor is his widow, Mrs. Caroline Hielscher. Last rites are scheduled for tomorrow afternoon in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, to be followed by interment in the Mountain View cemetery. "
Caroline (Erdelt) Hielscher 1861-1943 is also buried in Mountain View.
