"Hazel was a native of Ottumwa, Iowa, and a member of the First United Presbyterian church and Reveille chapter No. 47, Order of Eastern Star. She was first married to a man with the surname of "Farris" by whom she had two children, May F. (born 1915) and Howard B. (born 1918). Per the 1930 census she was living in Los Angeles with her two children at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Ora Tanner. In 1938, she married James T. Peasgood in Salinas, CA. In November 1957, she passed away in a Salinas hospital four months after her husband's death, after a sudden illness of only four days.
Mrs. Peasgood resided at 11 San Pedro Avenue. Surviving were her daughter, May F. Kamphenborg, Salinas; son, Howard B. Farris, Temple City near Los Angeles; a step-daughter, Mrs. Herbert McCracken, Oakland; one brother, Arthur Howard, Curtis, Nebraska; and two sisters, Dorothy Keene of Watsonville and Blanche Gates; Casper, Wyoming. Five grandchildren also survived.
Rites were held in Struve and Laporte's chapel, where the Rev. M.L. Kemper of the First United Presbyterian church officiated.
Pallbearers were Wesley McWilliams, Wayne Fellom, Harry Richardson, J.E. Lloyd, A.J. Leavitt and E.S. Campion. Interment followed at the Garden of Memories."

ARTHUR

Arthur L. Howard and Mary K. Cusick married on Feb 23, 1921 in Denver.
