"Charla Ann Lindsay, 75, of Hollis, Oklahoma formerly of Verona, Virginia passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at her home. Charla was born February 20, 1942 in Salida, Colorado to L. Charles and Opal Carrie (Stum) Dupps.
She grew up in Pueblo, Colorado, but has lived in numerous places, which include Montana, Utah, Wyoming, Mississippi, Georgia, Virginia, Colorado, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, and finally in Oklahoma.
Charla served her country by joining the Navy. She married the love of her life Aubrey LeRoy Lindsay on September 18, 1975 in Utah. After over thirty years of marriage Aubrey passed away in March 2006.
Charla had worked for the US Postal Service and as a Vet Assistant. She was a member of the ASPCA. She loved animals, loved to read, cared deeply about ASPCA, and supported her fellow vets.
Mrs. Lindsay was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Lindsay; and her parents, L. Charles and Opal Carrie Dupps.
Charla is survived by her daughter, Charmain Lindsay Black and husband Timothy Lee of Millboro, VA; two grandchildren, Nathan Lee Black and wife Lauren of Harrisonburg, VA, and Aubrey Jackson Black and special friend, Jessica Ryder of Millboro, VA; one great grandchild, Jett Everett Black of Harrisonburg, VA; two sisters, Nancy Colglazier of Pueblo CO and Carol Jean Schoenbeck of Grand Jct., CO; three nieces, Terri Garnett, Cindy Gradishar, and Cassie Keller; and numerous friends, including Rita Chance, Darrell & Mona Reagan, and Walt Tomlinson.

"Iris Virginia Lewis, age 87 formally of Howard and Salida, passed away on Friday March 1, 2013 at the Cherry Creek Nursing Center in Aurora, CO. Mrs. Lewis was born March 21, 1925 in Peetz, CO to Howard and Zelma (Wiseman) Lindsay.
Mrs. Lewis married Robert Phillip Lewis on February 10, 1942 in Englewood, CO. Mrs. Lewis was the organist for many years at the Howard Community Church. She was a member of the Howard Grange and was past secretary at the Cotopaxi School. Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Cotopaxi Community Church. She enjoyed knitting, reading and spending time with her family. After her husband retired as Post Master of the Howard Post Office, they enjoyed traveling in their RV.
Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Robert Lindsay, sister-in-law Janet Lindsay, and brother-in-law Dale Jackson. She is survived by her son Tom (Sharon) Lewis of Bennett, CO and daughter Jan (Mike) Shields of Westcliff, CO, sisters Irma Jackson of Englewood, CO, Irene (Selden) Turner of Englewood, CO and Sally (Bob) Gillespie of Howard, CO. 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services are set for 11:00 AM Friday March 8, 2013 at the Cotopaxi Community Church. Interment will follow at the Howard Cemetery."

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 12 at 2pm at the Wilson & Kratzer Chapel of San Ramon Valley 825 Hartz Way, Danville, with Pastor Jack Barker of the Gospel Light Temple, Pacheco officiating. Visiting hours Tuesday, May 11 from 3-8pm also at the chapel. Interment will be private."
