December 1911 Padroni items "Mrs. C. E. Winey was hostess Thursday, December 7, for the Lambda Sigma club. Most of the time was spent in a social way. Mrs. C. E. "Vivienne Nadine Liedke, 96 of Sterling passed away peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Sterling Living Center. She was a lifelong resident of the state of Colorado. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 18 at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Michelle D. Witherspoon officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Nadine was born on June 8, 1921 on the homestead at Pawnee Pass Ridge, CO to Ernest and Leah (Bonham) Manning. She lived there for three years before moving to Willard, CO where she resided for the next sixteen years. Her family then moved to the family farm in Atwood, CO where she graduated from high school in 1940. In 1941, she married Carroll Weatherill and the couple was together for 17 years before his death in 1959. She married Walter Rex Liedke in 1962. They were married for 38 years before Walter passed in 2000. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, enjoyed gardening, watching baseball, quilting and traveling. Nadine was also an avid collector of rocks and fossils. Nadine is survived by her step-daughter, Linda (Ronald) Foos of Rock Springs, WY; daughter, Debbie (Dennis) Wernsman of Milliken, CO; grandchildren, Dawn Franks, Ronee (Cory) Warne all of Rock Springs, WY, and David Wernsman; great-grandchildren, Sydnee Franks, Cambree and Ryker Warne all of Rock Springs, WY; niece, Ardith (Frank) Wallace of Las Animas, CO and her friend and caretaker, Terri Appleby of Sterling, CO. She is preceded in death by parents, Ernest and Leah; first husband, Carroll Weatherill; second husband, Walter Rex Liedke, infant daughter, Peggy Elaine and brother, Arden Manning. "
