" William Flower Price was born in Putnam County, Illinois, Nov. 10,1873. Moved with parents to Great Bend, Kans, in 1877 where he grew to manhood. Came to Breen neighborhood in 1897 where he lived, except for about 4 years in early nineteen hundreds,spent in Montana and Oregon. In 1927 he came to Ignacio to make his home with his sister, Mrs. Hans Aspaas, where he has resided until his death July 24,1938. He is preceeded in death by his parents, John W. and Elizabeth F. Price many years ago. He is survived by one sister, Sadie P. Aspass of Ignacio, and several cousins residing near the original home in Illinois.
He was never married. He was a birthright member of the Society of Friends, commonly known as Quakers, in Putnam Co., I11. He knew the principle of Friends Religion and lived up to them as nearly as possible, without having lived in direct contact with his church.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p m., July 20, 1938, from the Presbyterian church in Ignacio, with Rev. R. J. Hasstedt in charge of the services. Interment was in the Ignacio cemetery. "
