August 10, 1921 Salina Kansas "Mrs. Kate Ribble left Friday for Padroni, Colo., in response to a telegram stating her son's wife was very ill with typhoid fever."

November 4, 1926 the Minneapolis, Kansas newspaper published the obituary of Mrs. James Ribble.

January 1908 Padroni items "On Christmas night about thirty homesteaders gathered at Henry Kolhe's new brick house near Pedroni to keep Christmas in the good, old way. A beautiful tree laden with gifts had been arranged and a fine supper prepared. After all this had been enjoyed dancing filled the program until 12 o'clock. The music was furnished by Henry and Budd Kolbe. Mr. Henry Kolbe, besides being a veteran section boss, is a skilled musician and fine dancer. His music and dancing he learned in Germany and he learned them well. "

July 1908 "Last Thursday Mr. Henry Kolbe Jr. tried to drive some horses into a corral near Winston. While chasing them his horse stepped into a hole and fell, throwing him to the ground with sufficient force to break a collar bone. He had it set as soon as possible and it will be alright in a short time. "

Mary Annie Ribble and Henry C. Kolbe married in Winston, Logan County on Dec 24, 1908.

In 1920, Ralph is managing an oil station in Padroni, 28, married to Alice 25 born in Nebraska.

Ralph R. Ribble and Ruth E. Hamar married in Golden, Colorado on Sept 4, 1924.
(Ruth was in Padroni in 1920, 17, with mother Hattie Higgins 47 and stepfather Thomas Higgins 43. Helen "Harms" is 15, Janice 7.

In 1930, Ralph R. Ribble is in Asheville, North Carolina, 38, born in Nebaska, running an oil station. Ruth R. is 28, also born in Nebraska. His adopted son Elorne Reynolds is 15, born in Tennessee.

Ralph, an inspector in a factory, and Ruth 46 born in Kentucky, are in St. Louis, Missouri in 1940. Their son-in-law Buckner Flourine 29 and daughter Mrs. Flourine 23, both born in Missouri, are with them.

"Funeral services for Alice Johnson, 94, of Brush, will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday from the First Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Ivan E. Rundus, D.D., officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson, former Padroni postmaster, died Saturday, July 16,1988, at East Morgan County Hospital in Fort Morgan.
She was born March 12, 1894, in Custer County, Neb., the daughter of Arthur N. and Minnie Cox Robinette. The family moved to Colorado in 1908, homesteading west of Peetz.
After her Sept. 4, 1926 marriage to Alva D. Johnson in Greeley, the couple lived in Padroni where Mrs. Johnson was postmaster for 40 years. Mr. Johnson was a barber and the couple also owned and operated a grocery store and locker plant until retiring in 1959 and moved to S tert ing, thence to Brush in 1976. Mr. Johnson died Dec. 9, 1981.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley J. (Homer) Anderson and Sally D. (Gene) Pate, both of Brush; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren."
