The Charlotte Ennis Lantis 1851-1931 is his second wife - first wife is supposedly buried in New York.
Lantis, Mary Jane died 3-17-1891 age 48 (or 18)

"James married Lucy Cora RHOADES. (Lucy Cora RHOADES was born on 18 Jun 1831 in Venice, Cayuga Co., New York, and died on 12 Sep 1881 in Rochester, Monroe Co., New York.)"

Arthur M. Lantis, a brakeman, age 22, born at Auburn, New York, married Sarah A. Taylor 19, born in Ohio, on April 15, 1885 in Ionia, Michigan.

In 1910 Routt County, Colorado, Arthur M. Lantis is 44, born in New York, doing odd jobs. Sadie S. is a baker, 43, born in Indiana.

September 2, 1910 Yampa, Colorado "J. D. Evans this week closed a deal whereby he purchases from T. F. Broderick the building on Moffat avenue occupied by Mrs. A. Lantis bakery."

1911 business directory of Yampa includes "Lantis Mrs A M, bakery."

The Denver, Colorado 1911 and 1912 business directory has "Lantis, Arthur M., baker, 4624 Baldwin Ct."

June 13, 1913 Yampa Colorado (Routt County) "A. M. Lantis, formerly of Yampa has been in town this week. Mr. Lantis is working with the bridge gang repairing the bridges along the railroad."

In 1916 when James Lantis 1831-1916 died in Michigan # 83753897 "James Lantis was born at Rockland, Pa. Feb. 9, 1831, and was the third son of Jacob and Lydia Lantis.
The family moved to Michigan in …(illegible)…and settled in Jackson county, at Waterloo. It was here that James Lantis grew to manhood and at the age of 24 married Miss Lucy Reed at Jackson.
Three children were born to this couple, J. Adelbert of Glochester, Mass., Mrs. Cora Coldburgh of Rochester, M.Y., and Arthur of Denver, Co.
Mrs. Lantis died in 1884 in Rochester, N.Y. Mr. Lantis was married to Mrs. Jane Vincent of Ionia and to this marriage two children were born, Mrs. Fred Sayers of Lake county, Mich.; Roy, deceased at the age of 14 years.
Mr. Lantis lost his wife in death in…(illegible)… On July….(illegible)…he was married to Mrs. C. E. Ennis at Ionia, who survives.
Mr. Lantis enlisted in the army nearly at the beginning of the rebellion and was discharged at the close of the war, returning to Michigan, a few months later coming to Ionia, where he has since resided.
His health failed about a year and a half ago and for nearly a year he has been confined to the house.
On the 9th of June he died, leaving a widow and….(illegible)….children."

Arthur cash-claimed eighty acres in 20, 6N 51W, Logan County, Colorado, in 1922.
January 8, 1929, Rochester New York "- Entered into rest at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles L. Hooper, 97 Inglewood Drive, on January 7th, 1929, Harriett C. Coddington Slocum, aged 72 years. She leaves two daughters. Mrs. C J. Baker of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Chas. L. Hoooee of Rochester: two brothers, James A. Lantis of Rochester and Arthur M. Lantis of New Mexico; one granddaughter, Mrs. K Chambers of Rochester.
Funeral from 97 Inglewood Drive on Thursday, January 10th 1929 at 2:30 p m. Burial at Mt Hope Cemetery."
Cora # 138798032 1856-1929 is buried in Mount Hope.
"Harriet Cora Lantis was born in Springport, Michigan, on 23 Oct 1856 to James Lantis and Lucy Cora Rhoades. Harriet Cora married William Slocum. Harriet Cora married Edward J. Coddington and had 3 children; L. Gertrude Coddington in 1879, Orpha Caroline "Carrie" Coddington in 1880, and Olive Adelle Coddington in 1886."

In 1940 Valencia County, New Mexico, Arthur 75 and Sarah S. 74 have no occupations.

If anyone has information as to the Arthur and Sarah's whereabouts in the 1900, 1920, and 1930 census, and their deaths, please let us know.
