Gwendolyn M. Otzenberger, 90, of Sterling, was born Nov. 15, 1925 and passed away Mon., March 28, 2016 in Sterling, Colo. Gwendolyn grew up in Atwood, Colo. and married Otis Otzenberger on October 26th 1947. Gwendolyn is survived by her husband Otis; son Grant and wife Pam; daughter Nolene Moreno and husband Dan, all of Sterling; grandchildren Sarah Elliott, Matthew Moreno, Marty Otzenberger, and Megan Eurich; and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents Cleo and Myriam Lee and by her sister Leona Cochran and her husband Cecil Cochran.
Otis C. Otzenberger, 96, of Sterling, was born Feb. 22, 1920 and passed away Thurs., October 6, 2016 in Sterling. A family memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Otis grew up west of Sterling. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was an electrician in Sterling until he retired. He was also a volunteer fireman for twenty-one years. Otis married Gwendolyn Lee on Oct. 26, 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Ruth Otzenberger, wife Gwendolyn, sister Ruby Christner, and brother-in-law Rudy Sankey. Mr. Otzenberger is survived by son Grant and wife Pam and daughter Nolene Moreno and husband Dan, all of Sterling; grandchildren Sarah Elliott, Matthew Moreno, Marty Otzenberger, and Megan Eurich; one great grandchild; and sisters Virginia Sankey and Eileen McMahon.
