The funeral services will be held from the family residence at 9 o'clock Saturday morning,
and the remains will be taken to Dorchester for interment on Burlington No. 5. Mr. McShane formerly lived at Dorchester.
He leaves a wife and a son, W. H. McShane. Henry McShane was born in County iVrma, Ireland, January 6, 1839.
He came with his parents to this country when a child; lived in New York city for a number of years,
and then moved to Missouri, where he was living when the war of the rebellion broke out.
When President Lincoln made his first call for troops Mr. McShane enlisted in company K, Fourteenth regiment Missouri
volunteers, commanded by Colonel Mulligan, and was with the command at the defense of Lexington, where,
after four weeks' most heroic defense the forces were obliged to surrender. He was taken prisoner and soon
after was exchanged and discharged. He came to Lincoln in 18?6 and has resided here since.
He was well and favorably known by a large circle of friends."
