"Leulla Hidlebaugh was born in Louisa County, Iowa, Dec. 14, 1860. In 1875, with her parents, she moved to Guthrie County, Iowa. United in holy wedlock to Maurice Cain, Nov. 7, 1878. To this union three children were born, Maude Cornish, Bagley; Ora Cain, Bagley and Elmer Cain, Atwood, Colorado. Maurice Cain departed this life June 7, 1888.
She united in marriage to George Jersey, Jan. 13, 1892. To this union two children were born, Harry Jersey, Sterling, Colorado, and Carrie Jersey, Sterling, Colorado.
She leaves to mourn her departure, husband, three sons, two daughters, seven grandchildren, three sisters and six brothers. One sister and two brothers could not be present. "

July 1920 "Elmer Cain sustained considerable damage to his home and crops by a cloudburst which occurod near his place last week. It is reported that the water rose as high as the chair seats in the house and Mr. Cain's corn was badly washed out. Mr. Cain and family were forced to take refuge with some of the neighbors for the night."

1955 Bayard, Iowa "Family and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Ora Cain honored them on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary was held. Agnes Grassmeier became the bride of Ora Cain in a wedding ceremony performed at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grassmeier on August 23, 1905. The Rev. Wills was the minister, and they spent the first two years of their marriage on a farm east of Bayard. Since that time they have made their home on their farm east of Bagley. The persons attended the wedding Tuesday who were at the marriage fifty years were Mrs John Do... Charter Oak, George and ...Grassmeier and Mrs Horn ler of Bagley; Clint Cor- Bayardr and Mr and Mrs Cain of Atwood, Colo."

Mary Jane Thomas Rogers, per one tree, 1852-1886 died in Sharp or Craighead County, Arkansas.

William married Mary Harrison in 1886 or 1887.

Julia Ann Rogers was in Sharp County, Arkansas in 1900, born June 1898, with William Roberts Nov 1857 Arkansas, married 13 years to Mary Aug 1869 Missouri. She's had six kids, five living. John March 1881, Joshua May 1882, William April 1886, Charles March 1890, James P. Dec 1892, A.J. Feb 1896, and Julia A. June 1898.

One tree said Mary died in 1903, and William, 54, married Martha/Margaret White, 27 on Dec 19, 1905 in Sharp County, Arkanss.

"Carl Owen Dorsey, 85, of Eaton died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2002 at the Hospice and Palliative Care inpatient unit.He was born Jan. 28, 1916, three miles west of Eaton to Blaine and Elizabeth (Hurich) Dorsey. His father was a member of a pioneer family of Eaton.On March 6, 1941, he married Mabel Cain in Sidney, Neb. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this month.Mr. Dorsey lived in the Eaton area all of his life. About 1917, his family moved to Purcell, where they lived until his mother died. They then moved back to the Eaton area. Mr. Dorsey farmed the Haythorn home place south of Eaton for 43 years. Upon their retirement from farming, he and his wife moved into Eaton and he rode the town’s Boyd Ditch for several years. He also worked for Grant Milne for several years as a handyman until his health failed.Mr. Dorsey was a member of the Eaton United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows for more than 60 years. He also was a member of the Loyal Rebekah Lodge No. 70, Colorado Farm Bureau, Colorado Cattleman Feeders and the Farmers Union.Survivors are his wife, Mabel Dorsey of Eaton; four daughters, Ruth Dorsey of Aurora, Donna Cullip of Bakersfield, Calif., Charlene Fincher of Akron and Debra Kanten of Eaton; a stepsister, Marion Billeaudeau of Lake City, Fla.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and a stepgreat-grandchild. Two sisters, Helen Hickling and Mildred Bruffet, and three brothers, Alvin, James and Lewis, are deceased.Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Eaton United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Eaton Cemetery."

She worked at many jobs including Harsh Hydraulics, Sterling Bank and Civil Service at the Air Force Finance Center from which she retired in 1995. She grew up in the Methodist Church in Eaton and later became a member of St. Stephen Episcopal Church in Aurora earning her EFM Certification. Family was extremely important to her.
Ruth is survived by her sisters, Donna Cullip of Bakersfield, CA, Debra Kanten (Steve) of Eaton, CO, and Charlene Fincher (Harold) of Akron, CO, her nieces & nephews, Corey Cullip (Katherine) of Bakersfield, CA, Carl Fincher (Sarah) of Akron, CO, Leevi Kanten (Susan) of Cheyenne, WY, Owen Sortino (Sherry) of Bakersfield, CA, Brandon Fincher (Amber) of Akron, CO, and Melinda Robison (Troy) of Eaton, CO.
She was preceded by her parents, Carl & Mabel Dorsey."

She was born April 19, 1943, to Carl and Mabel (Cain) Dorsey in Greeley. She graduated from Eaton High School and then attended Colorado State University.
