In 1860 Pickens County, Alabama, Belle is 12, with Michael V. Propst 36 and Jane S. 32, Sidney 12, Jno H. 9, Mary 7, Wiley and William both 4, and Thos. 1.

In 1870 Pickens County, Alabama, "Stanton" Clanton is farming, 28, with "Betty" 22, "Angeline" - should be Fannie- 2, and Charlie six months. Sarah Clanton 55 is with them.

In 1880 Weld County (next to Henry Schneider, so it must be southwest of Sterling) Sterling D. Clanton is farming, 38, with Mrs. B. A. 33, Fanny A. 12, Charles A. 9, Lourda 7, Elisha B. 6 all born in Alabama, and W. M. 2 born in Colorado.

1899 Sterling "S. D. Clanton is in the city from Merino. Mr. Clanton has been on the sick list for a week past."

November 1899 "S. D. Clanton of Merino is arranging for a trip to Galveston, Tex., to look over the country, but thinks he will ultimately locate at Boulder. Mr. Clanton has horses, wagons, corn, furniture, etc., for sale at his ranch south of Merino."

Sterling and Belle are in Boulder County in 1900, with Willa 22, Rose Lee 20, Bertha Jane 17, and Lena Elizabeth 13.

April 1913 "Mrs. S. D. Clanton of Denver arrived in Sterling Thursday and is visiting at the home of her son, Charles A. Clanton."

June 1919 Sterling "S. D. Clanton returued Sunday from a few days' business trip to Denver."

June 1919 "T. K. Propst and daughter Miss Laurine entertained about thirty relatives at six o'clock dinner at their home near Merino Saturday evening. Included in the guest list were all of Mr. Propst's brothers and sisters living here, and another sister, Mrs. S. D. Clanton, of Denver, who is visiting relatives here.
Those present were Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Propst, Mr. aud Mrs. W. C. Propsi, Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Emery, Mrs. Edna Westlake, Mrs. S. D. Clanton, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Ropertson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Propst and family, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Propst and family, and the host and hosiess, T. K. and daughter Miss Laurine."

July 1911 "Mrs. C. A. Clanton and daughter Edith, left this morning for a visit with relatives at Yuma, Colo.
Miss Vera Clanton was a passenger this morning for Denver, where she will visit relatives for the next several weeks."

In 1912 C.A. Clanton was living at 330 Denver Street in Sterling.

Charles A. Clanton proved up two quarters in sections 27 and 34, 7N 52W in 1919, and another eight acres in section 33 for Stock raising in 1926.

Vera Odess Clanton, 22, and Raymond G. Campbell, 23, married in Sterling on June 3, 1917.

Vera O. (Clanton) Campbell proved up two quarters in sections 28 and 33, 7N 52W in 1920.

Raymond G. Campbell proved up two quarters in sections 33 and 34, 7N 52W in 1919.

"Mrs. Raymond G. Campbell died at her home in Sterling Thursday evening at 7:10 o'clock, only a few hours after the birth of twin sons, who both survive their mother. Mrs. Campbell was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clanton. She was born in Sterling October 2, 1894, and was twenty-five years old at the time of her death. She was married to Raymond G. Campbell at the home of her parents in Sterlng on June 1, 1917. All her life was spent in Sterling, where she attended school, graduating from the Logan County High School with the class of 1913.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by husband, R. G. Campbell, her two infant sons, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clanton, her sister, Miss Edith Clanton, besides many relatives in Sterling and in other parts of the county.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the Presbyterian church, and were in charge of the pastor, Rev. Harry H. Vail, with interment in the Sterling cemetery." "
"Several Denver and Greeley friends and relatives came to Sterling to attend the funeral of Mrs. R. G. Campbell last Saturday. Among them were the following: Mr. and Mrs. Rush Harris of Denver, who returned home Friday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Williams of Greeley, who are visiting at the Clanton home and Mrs. Bertha Barnes and Miss Willa Clanton, of Denver, aunts of the deceased."

"The son of David Clanton and Belle Elizabeth Propst. He was born in Pickens County, Alabama and died in Logan County, Colorado. He married Martha Elizabeth Hallman 24 December 1893 in Sterling, Logan County, Colorado. After her death, he married Ann Kellogg October 1941."

December 16, 1958 Greeley, Colorado "Charles A. Clanton, 89, father of Mrs. Edythe Blackmore of 918 24th Ave., died Monday afternoon at the Weld County Nursing home where he had been residing. He was born Nov. 17, 1869 in Pickens county, Alabama and went with his parents to Sterling when he was 4 years old. Before his retirement, Clanlon was a park superintendent at Sterling. He came to Greeley seven years ago and has been at tha nursing home since February. Besides his daughter, Clanton is aurvlved by two grandsons, Raymond Campbell of Greeley and Allen Campbell of Denver; and three sisters, Miss Willa Clanton and Mrs. Bertha Barnes, both of Denver, and Mrs. Elizabeth WetUing of Chicago. Funeral services will be held Thursday from the Radford Funeral home at Sterling, with interment at Riverside cemetery Sterling."

Edith A. Clanton, 23, married Edward C. Fett on Nov 17, 1921 in Sterling.
