LEWIS

"Lewis C. Nelson (1894-1990), born in Albert Lea, Minnesota, moved to Selma, California in the early 1900’s. In 1928, after years of carpentry work and tending to his fruit ranch, he was able to open his own carpentry business in which he turned large homes into apartments for income investments."
Being a firm believer in serving your country, Lewis C. Nelson supported his four sons as they left home to serve in WWII. It was at the close of the war that Lewis C. Nelson turned his company over to his two oldest sons, Lewis R. Nelson (1916-1985) and Dwight L. Nelson (1918-2006) and it became LEWIS C. NELSON AND SONS (LCN). In 1966, LCN was acquired by Dwight G. Nelson (President), one of Dwight L. Nelson’s four sons.
Over the years, four generations of Nelsons have provided the leadership necessary for the many successful projects completed from Sacramento to the Grapevine and from the Sierras to the Pacific Ocean.
