In this city on Saturday the 11th inst. At the age of 62 years, Jason G. Sawyer. The funeral occured Monday the 13th from the Methodist church under the auspices of Stephan A. Douglas Post No. 69 G.A.R., which he was a member.

April 8, 1891 North Platte " Mrs. Maria Sawyer died at her home in this city early Saturday morning of heart disease at the age of fifty-two years. The deceased was the widow of the late Jason G. Sawyer and mother of E. U. Sawyer. Funeral services were held at Methodist church Sunday afternoon."

1897 North Platte " U. G. Sawyer thinks the newspaper men of the town allow but little news to escape them, but they overlooked a surprise party at his house a few evenings ago. At this party dancing was the feature of amusement and every body present seemed to much enjoy the occasion."
1899 North Platte "U.G. Sawyer was on the streets yesterday for the first time after a brief but serious illness. Mr. Sawyer was taken ill a few days after his return from a trip to Dayton, Ore."
