"Henry Lininger, an Armenia, Wisconsin resident, who served in Company E of the 16th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. He enlisted December 2, 1861, was wounded at Shiloh and was discharged on October 27, 1862 due to disability. "

Henry was born in 1825, in Westmoreland Co., Penn. He died Nov. 7, 1911 at Knapp, Dunn Co., Wis. aged about 86 years of age and was buried in Teegarden Cemetery. On July 4, 1854 he was united in marriage to Mary Brown in Caladonia, Columbus Co., Wis. They later divorced in Menomonie, Wis. Their two known children were: George W., b. 31 Oct 1863 & Walter H., b. 28 Aug 1869. In 1881 Henry was united in marriage to Mrs. Mary Burns at Menomonie, Wis. They later divorced at Hudson, St. Croix Co., Wis."

Walter died in Spokane, Washington Dec 17, 1974.
