Silas E. Johnson , 8 North 50 West

Silas proved up a quarter in sections 11 and 14, 8N 50W in 1893, and cash-claimed another quarter in section 12 in 1895.

He possibly is the one in Vigo County, Indiana in the 1880 and 1910 census records.
But this one had children born in Indiana in the early 1900's, so it's not likely.

Another possibility is the Silas Johnson born about 1852 in Indiana, who's a brick mason in St. Joseph, Missouri in 1880, living alone.

Martha Arminda Johnson married Silas Johnson at her parents' home in Booe on September 1, 1878.

Another Silas Johnson was farming in Boone County Nebraska in 1880, 26, with Martha 18.
In Boone County in 1900, born Feb 1851, married 21 years to Martha Jun 1862, both in Iowa. Cepha A. i is 19, Elmer 17, both born in Nebraska.

Martha is divorced in 1910 Boone County, 48, and son Ambury 28 and his wife Ollie 22, and their Una S. 1. Elmer is farming with them, 26, and adopted son George Henry 14 born in Nebraska is with them.
On the same page is Harley A. Longnecker 36 born in Illinois and his family - )maybe related to the Jacob Longnecker of the same Logan County township....

Silas is 58, divorced in 1910 Stanley County, South Dakota, farming.
