January 19, 1900 Sterling "Hugh E. Wilcox died at the residence of S. F. Lent January 16, 1903, of consumption, aged 22 years, 2 months and 29 days. Deceased had been failing rapidly for some time past. The remains were placed in charge of Undertaker Scull and after being made ready for shipment were taken to his old home at Winnebago City, Minn., by the mother and brother of deceased. A sad journey truly."
