March 25, 1895 "The funeral of Michael Casey was conducted from the Catholic church in Barada yesterday. It was the largest funeral that ever occurred in that vicvinity.
Michael 1837-1895 is buried in Barada # 60917073, with Mary buried in South Dakota 1841-1938.
The young Michael could have made the trips to Colorado to cash claim and prove up a homestead....
1892 Falls City "A dance at Barada, 14 miles north of here, ended in a figh in which Michael Csey jr. was badly whipped by John Rhombaugh. While the party wree dispersing Csey procured a revolver and shot Rhombaugh through the bowels. Rhombaugh again attacked Casey and beat him about the head in a horrible manner with a pair of metal knuckle. Both parties are now in the care of physicians, but will be arrested if their wounds do not prove fatal."
Falls City, Dec. 27. A. J. Rhombaugh, who was shot by Michael Casey at Barada during a row at a dance, died of his wounds yesteiday.

Mike D. Casey, 59 years old, passed away at his home, 725 ½ W. 5th street, Monday night. Funeral services held at Deer creek 10:30 Wednesday morning, in charge of Watts & McAtee. Survived by wife, two daughters, Mrs. M.E. McClovern, Oklahoma City, Mrs. H.D. Kanp, Tulsa, Okla., and three sons, Thomas E. Casey, Leo M. Casey and William P. Casey, all of Oklahoma City.

1-3-1929 MIKE CASEY DEAD AFTER SHORT ILLNESS
Mike Casey died of influenza Monday morning at his home in Oklahoma City. Interment was made in the Lockridge cemetery yesterday at 10 a.m.
Deceased was one of the early settlers here and is widely known throughout this county as a law enforcer, having served as deputy sheriff for a number of years.
