In 1930 they're farming in Elbert County, Colorado, with Irene 25 and Ralph 23.
In 1940 Elbert County, only Ralph is with them.

February 20, 1956 for their 54th weddding anniversary, attending were "Mr and Mrs. Earl Keehn and family of Denver, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Tucker, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Einspahr, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Sullivan, Mr.and Mrs. Harold Lundgren, Lew Cheramy, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wisdom, Mrs. Elva Cheramy, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Cheramy, and Blanche Groves."

Mary's parents Dennis and Christina Cheramy are buried in Paoli, COlorado.

Ethel A. Keehn married Fred G. Haas Oct 11, 1924, recorded in Boulder County.
January 4, 2014 - to be interred in the Elizabeth Cemetery.
Fred 1902-1969 and Ethel A. 1903-1992 Haas, # 33736854 are buried in Elbert County.
Dr. V. June Haas was born in Elbert County, CO to Fred and Ethel Keehn Haas. She grew up in Elizabeth and following high school graduation, she attended the University of Denver, graduating in 1948. She was a member of Delta Zeta sorority. June received her Master and Doctorate Degrees from the University of Northern Colorado.

Winnie Keehn married Frank Fonshee Sept 28, 1928, recorded in Douglas County, Colorado.

Winnie Kehn Foushee 1911-1941 is buried in Elbert County # 27741858.
Earl Eugene Keehn 1903-1979 is buried in Elbert County # 51903873.
Earl married Ellen Patterson July 12, 1928, recorded in Logan County.

William Andrew Lawrence was born February 28, 1858 in Jones County, Iowa. At the time of his death in May 1938, his age was 80 years and three months. He was a retired barber. Mary Lydia Parriott was born December 19, 1858 in Wheeling, West Virginia. She died at the age of 79 years and six months. They were united in marriage at Peru, Nebraska, and lived at Johnson, Nebraska until 20 years ago, when they moved to Haxtun, Colorado. Three children were born to them, two daughters, Mrs. H.A. Keehn and Mrs. W.E. Hickey of Haxtun, and a son, Fred, who died in infancy.

EARL

Earl proved up 80 acres in 32, 9N 48W in 1918. Most claims were 160 or 320 acres... This was next to the Hicks family, so maybe they were relatives..

1934 Steamboat Springs, Colorado "Mrs. Earl Keeney and her son, Merle Barry, are partners in the Columbine Cafe. Mrs. Keeney is well known for her excellent cooking and her business ability in operating a restaurant. She conducted the Lucky Lunch last summer, starting the business and gaining a large trade."

Another Earl L. Keeney, a farm hand in 1940 Jackson County, South Dakota, born about 1902 in Colorado, living with Peter Chelson and Otto Johnson.
This one was the son of Getty Keeney, who was in Lenawee County, Michigan in 1880. (same county as the Griswold family of Logan County, Colorado.)



PENUMBRA and ESTHER
Penumbra Keeney married Esther E. Coffey in Pulaski County, Kentucky May 30, 1878

In 1880 Larimer County, Colorado, Penumbra Keeney is 24, Esther 21, with Thomas Jefferson Keeney, 1.
Thomas said he was born April 16, 1879 at Sterling, Colorado to Penumbra Keeney and Esther T. Coffey.

In 1885 Weld County, Colorado, P. Keeny is 29, Esther 26, Thomas 6, C. 3 (daughter) and Byron is 1.

Penumbra Keeney cash-claimed a quarter in 28, 8N 52W in 1886. He had a timber claim entry in that township, but it wasn't completed.
In 1900 Maricopa County, Arizona, Penumbra born January 1856 is farming, with Esther F. Dec 1858 , both Kentucky. She's had four kids, all living. Byron K. May 1884 and Groveer Oct 1895 both were born in COlorado.
Esther T. (Coffey) Keeney 1858-1904 is buried in Modesto, California # 57569936.
In 1910 Imperial County, California, Penumbra is 54, married to Annie E. 66, born in Indiana.Penumbra died July 26, 1925 in Los Angeles County.
In 1920 San Diego, California, Penumbra is 63, living with daughter Lenora Davis 37 born in Colorado. Azer Davis is 44, Texas. Earl R. is 15, Robert M. 11, Milton 9, and Howard 3, all four born in Califronia.
(Lenora had been a stenographer in Phoenix in 1900, born March 1882 in Colorado, rooming with Margaret Hicks June 1878 Kentucky. Lenora 28 and I.F. 34 had been in Burbank, California in 1910, with Earl 6, Robert M. 2 and MIlston S. two months.)
Lenora is in Los Angeles in 1930, married to Howard Underhill and his two kids. Howard Davis 13 is with them.
Howard I. Davis had been born Aug 5, 1916 in San Diego County, and died in Clark County, Nevada Nov 27, 2003.
Milton S. Davis was living with father Izer F. 54 in 1930 Imperial County. He died Ot 24, 1983 in Los Angeles County.
