In 1920 Logan County, Colorado, William is 38, Hazel 32, Richard 11, Boyce 10, and Laddie M. 9, all five born in Nebraska.
All five are still in Logan County in 1940, and have added Eulalie, 8.
In 1950 Haxtun, the Seventh Day Adventist ladies aid met at the home of Mrs. Hazel Burton.

William T. Burton, born August 7, 1891, died April 22, 1983 in Riverside County, California.
Hazel, born August 15, 1897, died November 1983, last residence Littleton, Colorado.
Eulalie, born Oct 11, 1931, died as Eulalie I. Lauridson March 20, 2013.

November 7, 1945 "Mrs. Laddie Burton and infant daughter Avis returned to their home from a Sterling hospital Thursday.


Coral D. Burton, 95 of Sterling, passed away Wed., Jan. 7, 2015 in Sterling. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Sat., Jan. 17 at Willard United Methodist Church with Rev. Spencer Green officiating. Service will conclude at the church.
Coral was born July 18, 1919 in Haxtun, CO to Lewis and Lola McCord Hart. She graduated from Haxtun High School in 1937. Coral lived in Haxtun until her marriage to Laddie W. Burton on Nov. 23, 1944. They moved to Fleming in 1946 and then to Padroni in 1958. They moved to Atwood in 1964 and became foster parents until 1979. They lived in Merino from 1974 until moving to Sterling in 2011.
Coral worked at the Sterling Greenhouse for 12 years. She loved taking care of her family, sewing and reading.
She was a member of the Willard United Methodist Church.
Coral is survived by her husband Laddie Burton of Sterling; children Avis LaFayette of Tampa, Florida, Lola Rasmussen and husband Roy of Kearney, NE, Glen Burton and wife Paula of Sterling, Lyle Burton and wife Shari of Sterling; foster child Sheldon Neuschotz of Sterling; 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Leah Clark, sister Lois, brothers Ellis, Francis, Willard and Keith. "

Laddie William Burton,94 of Sterling, passed away Tues., Oct. 6, 2015 in Sterling.
Memorial service to be held 11:00 a.m. Sat., Oct 31, 2015 at Willard United Methodist Church, Rev. Spencer Green officiating, with services concluding at the church.
Laddie was born March 12, 1921 in Wellfleet, NE to William Thomas and Anna Hazel Bartlet Burton. He moved to Dailey in 1930 and graduated from Dailey High School in 1939. Laddie moved to Haxtun in 1944, where he married Coral Doris Hart on Nov. 23, 1944. He served in the US Army during WWII from 1945 until his honorable discharge in 1946. He was a farmer his entire life. They moved to Fleming in 1946 and then to Padroni in 1958. They moved to Atwood in 1964 and became foster parents until 1979. They lived in Merino from 1974 until moving to Sterling in 2011.
Laddie was a member of Willard Methodist Church. He was an active member at church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. He enjoyed welding and working on small projects.
Laddie is survived by his children Avis LaFayette of Tampa, FL, Lola Rasmussen and husband Roy of Kearney, NE, Glen Burton and wife Paula of Sterling, Lyle Burton and wife Shari of Sterling; foster child Sheldon Neuschotz of Sterling; 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Coral Burton, daughter Leah Clark, brothers Richard and Boise Burton and sister Eulalie Lauridson.


Richard cash-claimed 40 acres in 17, 9N 49W in 1950.
