Edward E. and Gertrude (Secrest) Intermill, 9 North 49 West
Henry Sebade was born January 21, 1869 in Hanover, Germany. He was baptized on the day he was born and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in the year 1882 in Germany. He came to this country in the year 1883 and made his home in Chicago, Illinois. In the year 1885 he moved to Pender, Nebraska and entered into Holy Wedlock with Katerine Ann Hubenthal, this union was blessed with six children: George, Dorthea, Ernest, Lester, Melvin, and Violet. In 1906 he moved to Bloomfield, Nebraska and then in 1921 he made his home in Cheyenne Wells, where he continued to live until he entered the Good Sanatorium in 1952. He passed away on Tuesday July 23, at the age of 88 years, six months and 2 days. He leaves to morn his passing, two sons, Ernest of Richland, Washington , Melvin of Longmont,Colorado: one daughter, Violet Simpson of Denver: one sister, Meta Sebade of Pender, Nebraska: ten grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Saturday July 27th at 2PM at the Brentlinger Mortuary with interment at Fairview Cemetery in Cheyenne Wells, Rev. Donald Kuhn officiating. Mr LeRoy McKean sang "Abide With Me" and "God Will Take Care Of You." ------------------------ Melvin was a car salesman in 1930 Haxtun, 25, born in Nebraska. In 1940 Longmont, he's still a car salesman, with Marguerite 25. In 1943 Longmont Melvin and Marguerite live at 347 Grant. Melvin Sebade house is at 816 Collyer St. in Longmont, a two-story Foursquare style house with an expanded white upper story that sits over the front porch, and a stone and brick lower story. Built about 1948. Earl Hadley worked as a barber in Longmont, plying his trade from the shop at 510 3rd Avenue, and later partnering with Paul Gale. |
