"At the home of his son in Englewood addition, Salem, Oregon, at 6:10 p.m., Monday, May 18, 1891, John R. Welch, in his 86th year.
The deceased was born in the state of Kentucky in 1805, and at the age of 21 was united in wedlock with Matilda Lowry; she preceded him in death in 1880 her remains now resting in the cemetery in Butler, Mo. Five sons and one daughter are left to mourn the loss of a kind father being Wm., residing in Englewood, near this city; Isaiah, of Kansas; (now visiting here); Stratton, in Missouri; James, in Colorado; John in Kansas; and a daughter Cecelia in Missouri. He also leaves thirty great grand and twenty-five grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at the residence of W. T. Welch, at 3 p.m., today and the burial will be in the Lee Mission cemetery." OS May 22, 1891

In 1880 Bates County, Missouri, Isiah is 8, with Strattin S. Welch and Jane M. Sarah C. is 14, and Eulu J. is 11.

In 1900 Johnson County, Missouri, Isaiah is farming, born Oct 1871 in Missouri, married five years to Mary C. Aug 1874 Ohio. She's had three children, two living. Clarence Feb 1896 and Eula Jan 1900.
Stratton and Jane are in Johnson County in 1900, with daughter Ana J. Neville, widowed, born March 1869. They have a servant Rebecca McKenzie, 19, born in Indiana.

In 1910 Logan County, Isah M. Welch is 37, Missouri, married 15 years to Mary 33, Ohio. Clarence S. 13 and Eula 10 were born in Missouri.
In 1910 Logan County, S.S.- a farmer - and Jane, both 67, are living with daughter Nettie Neville, 41, born in Missouri.
In 1920 Logan County, Stratton and Jane are farming. They have daughter Eula J. Neville 49, a dressmaker, granddaughter Nita C. Brogan 20 Missouri.
Nita C. Carson, divorced, daughter of Ace E Brogan and Sarah C. Welch, born at Warrensburg, Missouri, married Charles W. Beckwith in Livingston, Montana 1933
Nita had been in Johnson County, Missouri in 1910, with mother Sarrah C. Brogan 43. Jane M. Welch was living with them, age 66.
Sarah was divorced in 1920 Lewistown, Montana, with Lloyd F. 23, Mildred L. 15, an Welch E. 11.
Stratton S. Welch 1843-1924, # 58073925 and Jane M. (Monroe) Welch 1843-1943 are buried in Sterling.


EULA NETTIE

In 1930 Fort Lupton Colorado, Nettie is married to salesman Joseph H. Daniels, 45. Both mothers Jane M. Welch 86 and Fannie M. Daniels 70 are with them.
Joseph and Nettie, both 53, are in Fort Lupton in 1940 - he's a foreman at a sugar factory. Fannie 78 is still with them.


Eula 1868-1957 is buried in Sterling # 57089203, with Joseph Daniels 1886-1981.
Fannie M. (Starker) Daniels 1863-1952 and Henry Daniels 1857-1929, # 39644270 are also buried in Sterling.
They were married August 15, 1883 in Rock Island County, Illinois.

ISAIAH
Isaiah proved up a quarter in 34, 9N 54W in 1913.

Mary proved up a quarter in 15, 9N 49W in 1918. That's about thirty miles away from Isaiah's claim.

Mary Celia (McKenzie) Welch 1873-1917 is buried in Sterling # 54059322, with Isaiah M. 1871-1963.
Isiah, per FindaGrave, then married Lou B. (King)(Hunt) 1887-1959.
In 1920 Isaiah is living in Haxtun, a carpenter, with Lou 32 born in Colorado. Her kids William W. Hunt 6 and Geraldine A. Hunt 3 are with them.
In 1930 all four are in Grand Junction, Colorado, where Isaiah is still a carpenter.
(William went to California. One tree said Geraldine married Thomas O'Brien, and he's a railroad brakeman in 1940 Sterling. She died August 15, 1967 in Los Angeles County.
(Thomas D. O'Brien, Jr. was born June 13, 1938 iN Sterling to Thomas D. O'Briend and Geralding A. Hunt, died in California March 24, 1995)


Clarence 1896-1977 # 54059294 and Carrie T. (France) Welch 1897-1976 are buried in Sterling.

Eula married Howard Bryant, and in 1920 he's an automobile salesman in Sterling, 27. Marybell is ten months.
In 1930 Howard is selling automobiles, and they've added Marjorie, 5.
Howard and Eula are listed in the 1931 Denver directory, a salesman, living at 1156 S. Race.
Howard 1892-1936 is buried in Sterling, # 41053144.

In 1940 Denver, Eula A. is married to Clyde E. VanGilden, 38, and Margie 15 is with them.
Marybelle has married Donald G. Knight, and they're in Denver in1940. Donald is a mechanic, and Marybelle is a clothing saleslady.
