Aug 27, 1931, Brunswick News. Word was received here last Thursday that Mr. Abe Sovereign had dropped dead in his home in Royal. He had gone to the cream station Thursday morning and then came home because he felt hungry. He went to the kitchen and a few minutes later his wife heard him fall, she hurried to his side but he never spoke again. The children were summoned and the last rites preformed. The Funeral was held in the Royal Hall, Saturday afternoon. Rev. Carl Zeimen of Brunswick had charge of the services and the body was laid to rest in Royal Cemetery. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, five daughters, Mrs. Ida Dahlheim of Norfolk, Mrs. Elsie Roach of S.D., Mrs. Blanche Thompson of near Neligh, Mrs. Bertha Van Gilder of Colorado, Mrs. Myrtle Dawson of Chicago, three sons, Cecil of Royal, Earl of Norfolk, and Alva of Brunswick, grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Jane Sparks of Brunswick and many friends. Sympathy is extended to the loved ones. His widow accompanied her daughter Myrtle home to Chicago, where she will remain for the winter. They started Sunday morning and stopped at Norfolk to see the daughter Ida who has been suffering for weeks with a dislocation in her neck. Mr. and Mrs. Sovereign lived here a few years ago and Mr. Sovereign ran a cream station here. |
