I am wondering if anyone in Phillips County has access to any type of death records for 3 Oct 1887. I have been told that this is when my gggrandfather died and that it was in either York, York, NE or Amherst, Phillips, CO. Neither place rings a bell with the family, but I would think that he was traveling when he died. Jacob Furrey was born 6 Oct 1829 in OH and was married 1851 in IN. He had a son, Frank, working in the mines in CO who died in Telluride in 1939 and a daughter, Mary Jane, who was married in Longmont, Weld, CO in 1890. Those are the only connections I have for the state [except that I am here in Loveland]. If anyone has access to anything that might help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

In 1920 my father, Clinton M. Ellison, apprenticed at Holyoke, CO with barber Carl Bunch, who I understand was his cousin. Carl had a son Billie. I am seeking to prove that Carl was a grandson of George W. Hamilton and his first wife. I have lots of Hamilton info which I will gladly share with any of the Bunch descendants. Am also seeking the fate of Carl's uncle, Wanton G. Hamilton. Thanks for any help or hints.

Can you please assist me in finding information on Herbert Sutherland? I have very little information on the gentleman except that he was granted guardianship of Herbert Gates and Jessie Gates in 1912. He apparently was their uncle. Their mother Annie C. Gates was widowed and they moved to Holyoke from Oakley, Kansas in the late 1800s. I believe Mr. Sutherland was well known but cannot substantiate this claim. I do have a few pictures of him and a few pieces of corresondence to Annie. I appreciate any leads anyone can give me.
