QUERIES

Rules for submitting queries:

• Please limit queries to ancestors from a specific County.   Do not enter queries on any county message board unless you have proof that the person(s) lived in that county.
• Please limit each query to three or four surnames at most.
• Please try to limit your queries to a maximum of 8-10 lines.
• Please put surnames in CAPITAL letters.  It makes it much easier to locate names this way.
• To obtain the best results for your queries, the following samples are given:

BAD QUERY:
"Looking for general information on the family of Jay F. Smith who may have lived somewhere in Colorado and who died in April, 1920."

GOOD QUERY:
"Shawn JONES, b. 1865, and Mary L SMITH, b. 1867 were parents of Barbra JONES b. 6 June 1871 in Denver County Colorado. Any information greatly appreciated."

BETTER QUERY:
"I have SMITH, JONES and ADAMS lines somewhere in Larimer County Ohio. Especially searching for information on my gg grandfather, Harry T. S, b 1846 in TX, d 1910 in Larimer County, CO; m. Anna TESCH. His father was George CAROTHERS, b 1820, MO?, d. MO, m. Jane ?. Is anyone researching these families? Am looking for descendants as well as ancestors."

If you don't know the County that your ancestor lived in then try posting to the Unknown Colorado County.
