I am looking for information about the MABENgirls........Irene, Ida, Ethel. Their father was J.D. MABENwho owned the bank for a short time. They went to school in Monte Vista between 1890-1906. Where did they go from there? Did they marry local boys? Irene married W.I. GILBREATHbut where??????????? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have no dates at all. I am his daughter. He was in the cavalry in Rio Grande county. Also, I need information on my grandfather, John R. WILLIAMS, who married Lydia PRICE. I have nothing more.

He was originally from Scott County, IN, and served in H Co., 22nd Indiana Infantry during Civil War. He drew a federal pension. Died in Hot Springs, SD, in Soldiers' Home there. Looking for Henry/Harry Saunders LITTLE(b 14 Feb 1858 Pittsburgh PA) who was known to be in Del Norte CO in early 1900. Partner Chris IMPSENdied in snow slide Feb/Mar 1900. Harry may have gone on to Yukon shortly afterwards but may have returned to CO. Family notes state that he died in 1939 but can not find any CO records of death.
Also looking for Arthur S LITTLE1886-1965, nephew of Harry. Family (father George Johnston LITTLE, mother Leona Lenore KEMP LITTLE, sister Margarette LITTLEmay have gone to CO between 1900-1910. SSDI records 1965 death in CO.

Searching for information on these families. My great grandfather Reinholdt Lemke is buried in Del Norte but I don't know where. I think my grandfather, Enos Buell HOLDEMANis buried in Monte Vista. My grandmother Camelia Augusta Louise LEMKE HOLDEMANlived in the area until her death. She is buried in Grand Junction beside my mother and father. My father and some of his siblings were born in Del Norte. In 1984, a Looking Back segment had a picture of a school days picture dated 1910. I have a xerox copy of it, and my father and his sister are in the picture. I know there is much family history in that area. I hope someone can tell me about them. My great grandmother who was married to Reinholdt Lemke married for the second time to a man named Reininger. They owned the Last Chance Gold Mine in Creede, CO. I am also interested in finding out more about the mine.

I'm researching the VAUGHN and LEEfamilies. I have just learned that my Great-Grandfather, George Orlando VAUGHNdied 14 Dec 1878, in Del Norte, Rio Grande County. He was only about 33. I would like to find out the cause of death and I also wonder if the railroad is in the Del Norte area (he worked on the Union Pacific Railroad in 1867). His wife, Hattie Lee VAUGHNand children were living in Lake City, Hinsdale Cty at the time of his death. Suggestions as to how I can pursue this would be sincerely appreciated.

LITTLE
Looking for Henry Saunders LITTLE, b Feb 14 1858 in Wilkinsburg, Allegheny Co, PA. He is reported in family notes to be living in Del Norte CO (prob about 1900) and dying in 1939. CO Vital Records has no lising for this death, so I do not know if he remained in the area.
His parents were David LITTLEJr and Elizabeth ORRof Wilkinsburg and Pittsburgh PA. His brothers were Charles Reynolds, Michael Edward, George Johnston, David Percival, and Lindsay DeBonneville. Henry left home prior to the 1880 PA Census.
