Delmar Dean Slover, 78, of Salem died Friday Sept. 12, 2008 at the Mennonite Village in Albany. He was born May 21, 1930 in Eckley, Colo., to Carl and Verda Slover. He was one of 12 children. His family moved to Oregon in 1939. He was raised in Woodburn and graduated from Woodburn High School.
He married Elizabeth (Betty) Schifsky on Aug. 13, 1950. They moved to Albany, where they raised three sons. They divorced in 1972.
He was married to Doris Christiansen for 19 years. Together they were part of a musical quintet that enjoyed entertaining friends and family.
In 1992, he retired from Teledyne Wah Chang after 36 loyal years of service.
He married Carol Hendren in 1998 and they lived in Salem. They later divorced.
He was a gifted musician, avid hunter and fisherman, and a loving devoted father, grandfather, and friend.
Delmar is survived by sisters Luella Hawley of Missouri, Delma Slover of Salem and Marie Weigart of Keizer; brother Sam Slover of Portland; sons Terry Slover and wife Debra, and Rick Slover and wife Vicki, all of Albany, and Doug Slover and wife Evon of Scio; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren."


Errett Polly married Lila Hubbard on Dec 30, 1919.

Errett D. Polly is buried in Yuma 1897-1977 # 66728044.
