Flora L. Aldrich, Ivan Aldrich

In 1920 Flora L. Aldrich and Sylvanus Aldrich were defendants in a suit over land titles.

In 1875 Chenango County, New York Sylvanus Aldrich is 52, Betsey 49, George M. 19, Jay 15, and Flora L. 13.

Flora L. Aldrich is teaching school in 1880 Chenango County, New York, 17, with "Sylvaster " 57, "Betcy" M. 54, George H. 24, Jay 20, and Polly 85.

Sylvanus Aldrich 1822-1891 is buried in Chanango. On the Aldrich stone is Flora L. 1862-1892.

In 1900 Chenango County, Betsey M. born Dec 1826 is widowed, living with son Jay Nov 1859 and his wife May July 1865. Florence is 13, Helen 6, .
One tree said Flora married Myron Dorr Potter in 1882, and is in Rutland Massachusetts in 1900.. But this is Flora Ldworth born May 26, 1861 in Framingham Massachusets to Thomas and Eliza Aldworth.


Death in Plymouth [Chenango Co., NY], January 1, 1892, Flora L. Goodwin, aged 30 years, daughter of Sylvanus Aldrich.
Flora cash-claimed a quarter in 28, 3N 48W in 1890, near a number of other 1890-1891 cash claimants.

Ivan Aldrich proved up a quarter in 18, 2N 47W in 1893, and timber-claimed another in 1898.
This is possibly Ivon Kinyon Aldrich, son of Sarah and August Aldrich, 1863-1890
In 1911 Ivan was delinquent on taxes for those quarters.

FindaGrave says Ivon was the son of Augustus Aldrich 1827-1892, also buried in Chenango County,
"At the residence of his father, A.C. Aldrich, in North Norwich [Chenango Co., NY], July 6, 1890, Dr. Ivan K. Aldrich, recently of Smyrna [Chenango Co., NY], in the 27th year of his age. "
