Allen J. Blackwood, farming in 1900 Morgan County, Ohio, born Oct 1861 in Ohio, married eight years to Elizabeth Oct 1872 Ohio. They have Isaac W. Sept 1893, Minnie M. APril 1895, Merl A. Nov 1897, and Virgil Feb 1899 were all born in Ohio.

In 1910 Hocking County, Ohio, Allen "I" is farming 48, Elizabeth, Isaac 16, Minnie M. 15, Mearl A. 13, Virgil H. 11, and Mary M. 7.

In 1920 Emporia Kansas, Allen is a salesman, 59, Elizabeth 48, with William 26, Merl 23, Virgil 20, and Mary 17.

In 1930 Boone County, Arkansas, Allen is farming, with Elizabeth 58 and Mary A. 23.

"Minnie Mae Purdy, 95, of Fairview, died May 13, 1990, at the Heritage manor, Hiawatha. Minnie was born April 12, 1895, in Troy, Ohio to Mr. and Mrs. Allen Blackwood. She married Leslie Purdy on Sept. 8, 1917, at Lyndon, Kan. He preceded her in death in 1971. "
Minnie is buried in Brown County, Kansas # 55736711.

William "Ike" married Hazel Dell Biver in Boone County September 27, 1922, and they're in Boone County, Arkansas in 1940, and died in Los Angeles Feb 15, 1969. He's buried in Whittier, per # 154427051.

Merl Arlo Blackwood is buried in Stephenson County, Illinois 1896-1998. "Merl & his wife Gladys C Rourke-Blackwood, were well known artists, both having graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago. They have four historical diaramas: the Lincoln-Douglas Debate; Henney Co.; W. T. Rawleigh Co.; Knowlton General Store, on permanent display at the Stephenson County Historical Museum. He taught at the Freeport High School from 1934-1960. "

Virgil 1899-1977 is buried in Johnson County, Kansas - same cemetery as Allen # 27549336.
