They're in Otero County in 1910, and in 1920 Elmer is m58, married to Mildred F. 35.
Elmer and Mildred are still in Otero County in 1930, not kids, but with a married couple lodging with them>
E.W. 1861-1940 # 111745876 and Mildred 1875-1961 are buried in La Junta.

September 19, 1940 Steamboat Springs "Dr. F. A. McDaniel received a message from hLs aunt, Mrs. Mildred McDaniel, that his uncle is very ill at his home in La Junta."

September 1925 "Mrs . Gertrude McDaniel , wife of pr . F . A . McDaniel of Oak Creek , former tesident of Steamboat Springs and with hosts of friends here , died at 11 : 30 last night at St . Josephs hospital , Denver , after an extended illness . She underwent an operation several weeks ago , since which time she has been slowly sinking . Dr . McDaniel was at her bedside when the end came . Mrs . L ,. L . Brown has been in Denver for a week giving assistance to the sick woman and her two baby daughters . The funeral will be held in Denver today ."

September 4, 1925 "Mrs . Gertrude McDaniel , wife of Itr . Fred A . McDaniel , died Monday night at St . Joseph - hospital , Denver , after a lingering illness of a month , following an operation for cancer of the stomach . Her death has ca . st a gloom over a lurge circle of friends In Steamboat Sprints and throughout Routt county , as well us in Denser , where she had resided before coining here . Deceased was forriierly Miss Gertrude Kettinger , and wus married to Dr . McDaniel on Nov . 24 , 1920 , at the home of her rister , . Mj-s . Brombock , in Golden . She was . ¦ daughter of Miami Mrs . William S . Kettinger of Denver and before her marriage was very poulur Uo a vocalist in that city , she being an accomplished musician . Immediately after their wedding Dr . and Mrs . McDaniel came to Steamboat Springs , he 1 M-, ng a dentist here , and this was their home until u few months ago , when they moved to Oak Creek . Mis . McDuniel a health had been failing for the past 18 months . Mrs . McDaniel is survived by her husband and by two young daughters , Murjorie Mae , aged 3 , and Atheleen , who is but one year old , as well as by her parents and two sisters , one residing in Golden ami the other in Los Angeles . The funerul was held yesterday afternoon from the Ollnger chapel in Denver and burial was in Crown Hill cemetery ."

September 22, 1926 "Dr . F . A . McDaniel of Oak Creek , former resident of Steamboat Springs , and Mrs . Edna Stonehouse of Oak Creek were married at Glenwood Springs last Wednesday evening . Mr . and Mrs . Everett Cole accompanied them to Glenwood . Dr . McDaniel is dentist in Oak Creek and was for several years a partner of Dr . G . A . Mattern , alternating work in their office here and in Oak Creek . For the past two years Dr . McDaniel has remained permanently in Oak Creek . Mrs . McDaniel has been a resident of Oak Creek for lo years and Is a daughter of Mr . and Mrs . Klof Nelson . pioneer citizen of Routt _ ounty ."

April 3, 1936 "Dr . and Mrs . F . A . McDaniel were down from Oak Creek Saturday . Dr . McDaniel called on some of his friends to Invite them to see him at his new home at Los Molinas , Calif ., 250 miles north of San Francisco . He was to leave in a few days for the coast . His wife and daughters will Join him there at the close of school . Dr . McDaniel will be engaged in the growing of prunes and almonds and feels that the outdoor life will be an advantage to him after all the years of office work . The McDaniel home in Oak Creek will be occupied by the dentist who has taken over the practice of Dr . McDaniel . The latter came to Steamboat Springs 17 years ago , where he began the practice of dentistry , later he moved his office to Oak Creek . For several years he was postmaster at Oak Creek "
