William R. and Harriet M. McKelvey
Harriet was born in Fillmore County, Nebraska to David and Janet (Anderson) Kreachbaum
William and Harriet married February 17, 1909 in Fillmore County at the Kreachbaum home.
In 1910 William and Hattie, both 24 and born in Nebraska, are in Fillmore County, Nebraska.
The tree said that James Arthur McKelvey died at birth there May 23, 1911, and John Francis McKelvey December 31, 1913.
William proved up in 1919 in section 7, 4N 45W - and some to the west. He also got two quarters adjoining by Script in 1919.
In 1920 William and Hattie are in Yuma County, with Jessie E., 7, William D. 3, and newborn Geraldine E.
Lucile Marie McKelvey was born October 22, 1924, and died October 30.
Dorothy Jean McKelvey was born November 7, 1925, and died November 14. Both are buried in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery - about four miles west of the McKelvey claim.
In 1930 Yuma County they've added Harold G. 8 - they're on the same page as my grandfather, so they were living on their claim.
William, Harriet, and Harold still there in 1940, and on the same page as my family. Also on the page is William D. and Lilly M. McKelvey. Lilly is 16, born in New Mexico.
William - April 13, 1886 - October 5, 1964 and Harriet Eliza KREACHBAUM - January 11, 1886 - April 3, 1962 McKelvey are in Loveland Burial Park.
William David McKelvey - one tree has him born October 18, 1916, married Lilly Madge Norton in Oberlin, Kansas November 20, 1939.
Across the highway, in Lakeside Cemetery, Loveland, is William D. McKelvey - Oct 8, 1916 - Nov 22, 1997and Lilly M. McKelvey - Nov 24, 1923 - Jun 23, 2003.
Geraldine married Loyd L. Allen December 26, 1935, and in 1940 they're in Yuma County, with Dorothy M. 3 and Donald L. 1.
Loyd Feb 4, 1914 - Dec 14, 1989 and Geraldine Dec 2, 1919 - Jul 18, 1999 are buried in Eagle Cemetery, Cass County, Nebraska.
Janet was born May 13, 1912 in Fillmore County, married Kenneth McCracken June 12, 1936 in Saunders County, Nebraska, and died October 1992 in Lincoln.
Harold George McKelvey was born November 22, 1921 in Yuma County, and died January 1, 1990 in Delta.
John W. McKelvey proved up on a quarter in 6N 46W - Phillips County in 1915, Harvey J. close to him in 1916, and Marie E. McKelvey (Rydberg) land in 6N 45W in 1924
John W. has to be William's father, born 1853 in Jersey City, NJ, in Fillmore County in 1900, ain San Diego in 1920, and dying in Portland Nov 7, 1931.
In 1910 Philips County John 56 and Mary L. 36 have Roy T. 15, John H 18, Loise M. 6, and glen E. 4.
1919 "J.W. McKelvey Sr., and son Roy, spent Sunday evening at the John Felderman home."
Harvey in 1920 is in Yuma County, by the neighbors close to William's claim. He's 28, born in Nebraska, single.
John and Mary are in San Diego, farmer, in the 1920 directory, and Roy T. is at the same address. the census has John W. 16, Lois M. 16, Alen E. 14, and Gladys I. 7.
In 1930 Portland, Oregon, John and Mary have divorced daughter Lois Monner and her two daughters, and Gladys, 17.
Harvey John McKelvey registered for WWI in Phillips County, said he was born Geneva, Nebraska May 28, 1890, and was employed in Yuma County.March 15, 1962 -An old-fashioned box and pie supper will be held at the McKelvey schoolhouse southwest of Holyoke on March 23. The supper will be sponsored by the Wages Epworth Grange.
