WHEN NAN MARRIED CLEN DEN, VERLINDA KNOWN AS LINNIE, MOVED WITH HER SISTER'S FAMILY TO NEBRASKA IN 1871, BABY WALTER BECAME A FARMER IN EDGAR, NEBRASKA.LINNIE RETURNED TO ILLINOIS. Linnie told of smelling the smoke from the " Chicago " fire, while on the trip to Nebraska
