Job C. Lydiatt, daughter Violet (Robert Alexander McDaniel) , Brownsville

Job Cornelius Lydiatt, 27, married Mary Louisa Smith, 24, April 19, 1877 in Gaines, Genesee, Michigan.

In 1880 Seward County, Nebraska Job is 34, England, with May S. 25, New York, Wiola 1 and Ada M. two months.

Job and Mary had a daughter June 13, 1881 in Vernon, Shiawassee, Michigan.

Ada Lydatt, born 1880 in Michigan, married Wilson Baxter, born 1850 in Pennsylvania, October 13, 1899 in Webster County, Nebraska.  They were in Franklin County Nebraska in 1900 and Allen County Kansas in 1910.

In 1910 Buffalo County, Nebraska, Job is widowed, 60, living with daughter Viola McDonald 31, her husband Robert 40, and four kids.

1914 Job Cornelius Lydiatt was a petitioner for naturalization in the Yuma County court.

1914 "R.A. McDaniel is building a new addition to their house."

1914 "Bob McDaniel butchered a hog for Mr. Confer Saturday."

1915 Center items "Percy McDaniel is working for W.L. Dunlap"

1916 "Mr. and Mrs. Terry McDaniel are visiting at R. McDaniel's for a few days."

1916 "Mrs. Vanscoey and three children of Yuma attended the McDaniels and Vanscocy wedding at Robert McDaniels' Monday.... A quiet wedding occurred last Monday at Mr. Robert McDaniels.  Their son, Percy, and Miss Ester Vanscocy, both of Yuma were married."    (The license says Esther VanScoy)

1917 "Mr. and Mrs. Perry McDaniel and Lad Laureeta Vanscovy came out from Yuma Thursday for a few days visit with R.A. McDaniel and family."

Job proved up a parcel in 26 and 35, 2S 47W in 1918, next to two quarters of Robert A. McDaniel, also in 1918.

Job C. Lydiatt was born in Oxford, England, March 5, 1848, and died in Haigler, Nebraska, August 3, 1920, after an illness of three months duration. Aged 72 years, 4 months and 28 days.

He came to America when 21 years of age. He remained here 2 years and then returned to England, where after a duration of one year, he returned to America, living in different parts of the United States.

He came to Haigler from Yuma, Colorado, in the spring of 1918, and has resided here with his grandson until the time of his death.

He was married in Duran, Mich., to May Smith. To this union were born five children. One son, Walter L. Lydiatt. The son passed away September, 1918. Three daughters, Viola F. Litell of Haigler, Nebr., Ada Lydiatt passed away when a baby.

Ada Baxter of Emporia, Kan., and Margaret Baxter of Emporia, Kan. The mother passed away at Alpena, Mich., in 1891. Mr. Lydiatt kept his children together raising them from childhood to young men and women. Mr. Lydiatt was very proud of his little home which he had just bought.

We wish to thank the members of the Odd Fellows lodge and our neighbors for the kindness and help they rendered us during the sickness and death of our father and grandfather.

Ada May Lydiatt, born June 1880 in Michigan, married John Wilson Baxter Oct 13, 1899 in Webster County, Nebraska.

In 1920 Lansing precinct William F. Cheney, 21 is married to Stella, 16, and they're living with James Cheney, 56 widowed.

In 1930 Denver "Fred" is 33, a supply clerk for a cookie factory.  Stella is 25, born in Nebraska, and they have Leota 10, Marie 8, both Nebraska, and Dexter 6, Kansas (Leota M. Cheney Andrews Beargeon - December 8, 1919 - July 15, 1976 - is buried in Eckley.  In 1940 Denver Leota Andrews, 21, is married to Lloyd, 30, with Harold 5 and Robert 3.  Harold is probably buried in California  1935-2006  36746830  -  Robert Lee -1937-2001 is probably buried in Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, OK, and Lloyd in Fowler  37656144 )

Viola I. McDaniel divorced Robert A. McDaniel in Yuma County in 1920.

Job - May 3, 1848 - Aug 3, 1920 is buried in the Haigler, Nebraska cemetery  82000315

Robert A. McDaniel 1868-1950 is buried in Portland, Oregon  58584680

One tree said he was born March 15, 1870 at Lynchburg, Virginia, married Violet Feb 25, 1899 in Franklin County, Nebraska, and died in Portland April 12, 1950 - parents Charles Henry and Sarah (Bradbury) McDaniel, and other spouse Emma Lipp.

It says Myrtle May Loretta was born Dec 16, 1900, married James Mace and Roy Hudson, and died in Yuma 1967.

It says that she married a Cherrington, maybe the Patrick Cherrington, 34 in 1930 Denver, born in South Dakota, a cement finisher, with Myrtle 28, Nebraska, Stella 10 Nebraska, and Eugene 8 Nebraska.

Pat. G. Cherrington married Chrystaial A. Beckman Nov 5, 1923.  In 1928 Patrick G. Cherrington divorced Chrystal A. Cherrington in Denver.

According to Pat's obit in the Douglas Budget Aug. 18, 1955 his full name is Patrick Grant Cherrington, born Feb. 27, 1896 at Oacoma, S.D., the son of Grant L. and Bessie R. Cherrington. He died August 9, 1955 of a heart attack at his ranch near Lost Springs, WY. On June 16, 1950 he married Ruth Shippen Swickhamer at Denver, Colo.

Earl Ernest born Nov 2, 1902, died 1940 at Hamburg, Iowa per one tree.

Stella Louise married Feb 10, 1919 William Fredrick Cheney, at Wray.  In 1922 "Cheney, W F, Farmer, PO Wray, came to Yuma County 1913, Born Kansas 1898, married Stella  McDaniel, one child."  William Fred Cheney - July 4, 1899 - May 17, 1975 - is buried in Eckley.

Andrew Percy born Oct 27, 1897 at Elmwood NE, registered with a Happyville address, with nearest relative Viola McDaniel,  died Jan 17, 1967 spouse Hester Vanscoy.  In 1930 they're in Portland, Oregon, where Andrew does concrete work for building construction.  Hester, 29, born in Iowa and Viola 8, born in Nebraska.

 Velma Lela Viola born July 14, 1910, married Lloyd Gurss September 29, 1925, died 1971.  They're buried in Yuma 49997131
