Dana Adelbert Abell
Dana cash-claimed a quarter in 18, 1N 42W in 1890 - about three miles south of Laird.
There's a Dana A. Abell, who farmed in Warren County, Pennsylvania, born June 1864 in Pennsylvania.
In 1870 Bradford County, Pennsyvania, Seneca Allyn is 73, Betsy 69, Edwin E. 38, Mary 24, Irene one month, Joanna 33, and Dana A. 5, attending school.
In 1880 Dana is 15, a farm laborer with Seans Abel, a farmer 88 born in Maryland and Hannah Abel 43 divorced born in Maryland.
In 1900 he's been married ten years to Mary Oct 1868 Pennsylvania, with Sarah C. March 1891 Pennsylvania. So he could have gone to Yuma County to claim land.
The 1900 directory has "Abell, Dana A., (Warren Center) r 46, sec. Warren Center Creamery, dairy 15 cows, 30 sheep, 100 sugar trees, farmer 175 "
Next on the census is Joanna Allyn, divorced born June 1837 in Pennsylvania. She's had only one child, so Dan\na has no full siblings, just two half-brrothers.
Dana 1864-1929 - son of Amaziah Allyn Abell and Joanna C. Abell is buried in Warren Center, # 148927732, with Mary 1868-1928.
"Dana married his cousin Mary E. Allyn, daughter of Thomas Bucklin and Sarah M. (Pendleton) Allyn. They had 4 children, 2 of whom died young.
June 1974 Sayre, Pennsylvania "Runa A. Abell, 71, of 136 Horseheads Boulevard, Elmira Heights, died Friday, June 28, 1974 at the Ogden Hospital in Elmira. Born Jan. 20, 1903 in Warren Center, he was the son of the late Dana A. Abell and Mary Allyn Abell. Mr. Abell was a retired employe of the Thatcher Glass Works in Elmira and was a member of the firm's 25-Year Club. He was a long-time resident of the Elmira Heights area. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Leslie (Clarice) Simons of Bing-hamton and Mrs. Russell (Carol) Jones of Warren Center."
