In 1860 Olathe, Kansas, B.L. Roberts is 37, R. J. 35, S.B. 14, Enoch 12, Leonadas 9, Granville 7, A.E. 5. Catherin Givens is 57.

Benjamin L. Roberts, dying June 14, 1905, age 84-85, is buried in Seattle, per # 65511079.

Sabina Roberts married Jonathan Snider in Johnson County, Kansas.
One tree said Sabina's brother Enoch David Roberts died in 1924, buried in Wray # 63199707.
In 1900 Washington County, Kansas, Enoch born October 1847 in Virginia has been married 24 years to Louisa J. February 1856 Indiana. Sabina B. Sept 1885 and Ina G. July 1888 wee born i Kansas, Alta B. July 1892 in COlorado.

In 1905 Washington County, E.D. is 56, L. J. 48, S. L. 19, I.G. 16, A.B. 12, and R.A. 4.

In 1910, Enoch is in Greenwood County, Kansas, married 33 years but no spouse, boarding with the Louis and Sarah Adams family, both from Illinois.
Louisa is in Dundy County Nebraska in 1910, living with children William 33 and Ruth 9., and Iva 21, Alta 17, and Claud Roberts, a hired hand 28 born in Kansas.
Also with them is Lena Shult, 27, married but no spouse and her kids Thurman 9 and Viola 7, both born in Kansas.

June 20, 1912 "E. D. Roberts of eighteen miles northeast of town was trading in Wray Monday. He brought in a load of hogs."

In 1915 Ruth 14 and L. J. 55 are with L. J. Shutt 32 and W. J. Shutt 14, Villa Shutt 12 in Ness County Kansas.
Enoch D. Roberts proved up two quarters in 24 and 25, 4N 43W in 1918, and 40 acres in 4N 42W in 1920 for Stock. Witnesses for the homestead were Patrick F. Deqnpsey, Jesse Spellman, William O. Jones and Clinton Richards, all of Alvin, Colorado.

In 1920 Enoch and Louisa are in Yuma County, with daughter Ruth A. 19, born in Kansas, and granddaughter A. Javene Sellers, 5 born in Nebraska.

In 1930 Chase County, Nebraska, Louisa 74 and Ruth 29, are living with Alta and Charlie Desselm, both 37, none with occupations.

Louisa Jane Roberts 1856-1931 is buried in Wray, per # 63199897, dying in Boundary County, Idaho.
Enoch David Roberts died in 1924, and is also buried in Wray # 63199707.


Iva Grace Roberts married Nelson Sellers February 22, 1914, recorded in Yuma County.

October 11, 1917 "Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Sellers are the parents of a little son."

1917 Laird items "C.N. Roberts sold his farm to Nelson Sellers last week. Mr. SEllers and family will move to laird soon."

Nelson registered for WWI in Yuma County, farming, born May 13, 1882, with Iva Sellers of Toledo Ohio his closest relative.
Iva G. (Roberts) Sellers proved up two quarters in 25, 4N 43W in 1918, next to Enoch.
Her witnesses were Roscoe C. Roberts, Vincent A. Scott, Earl Reed, and George Clevenger, all of Laird.

May 23, 1918 "Mrs. Enoch Roberst has been visiting her daugher, Mrs. Sellers, the past few days."

February 1919 "Nelson Sellers recently sold his farm to Mr. Carse of the north sand hills. Mr. and Mrs. Carse have moved to Laird. We are glad to welcome them to Laird. Mr. and Mrs. Sellers moved to the Carse place. February 20, 1919 "C. N. Roberts received a call from his mother in Wyoming that his father was seriously ill. He departed at once for his home. Later word was received of the death of his father. We extend heartfelt sympathy to our fellow townsman."
March 1919 "The Conrad garage is doing a thriving business these days and it looks as if if the people in and about Wray are indicating their prosperitv by awaiting the arrival of cars. Those whose orders are now on file are : Arch Cox, Harry Shriner and Henry Sears, all of Wray, Sellers Nelson of Laird and others that will soon be sporting Ford touring cars."

April 3, 1919 "Mrs. Nelson Sellars, who resided north of Laird, died Tuesday of last week, death having resulted from tubercular trouble, aggravated by influenza. Besides the bereaved husband, deceased is survived by her father, Enoch Roberts, her brother, William Roberts and two step-daughters. E. E. Richards had charge of the funeral arrangements."
Nelson Sellers married Louise Blough August 2, 1926, recorded in Denver.
In 1930 Denver, Nelson is 47, born in Michigan, with Louise 45 born in Colorado and her mother Matilda Goette 73.


In 1910 Chase County, Kansas, Leona J. is 26, married 10 years to John R. Shutt 32 Missouri. Thurman 9 and Viola M. 7 were born in Kansas.

In 1915 Ruth 14 and L. J. 55 are with L. J. Shutt 32 and W. T. Shutt 14, Villa Shutt 12 in Ness County Kansas.
In 1940 Ness County, Kansas, Leona Shutt is 57, widowed, living alone.

Leona Jane Shutt 1883-1957 is buried in Wichita, Kansas # 91041821.
Daughter Viola Mae (Shutt) West 1903-1994 is also buried there # 108518332 - dying in Boulder, Colorado.
William Thurman Shutt 1901-1973 is buried in Marshfield, Missouri # 66488328.
"Thurman was born Jan. 23, 1901 at Greenleaf, Kansas. Baptized Aug. 1914 at Utica, Kansas. Married Stella Belle Goodvin Mar. 23, 1928 at Dodge City, Ks. He died Dec. 27, 1973 at Marchfield, Mo. He was a minister of The Church of Christ, a farmer and carpenter. He performed the marrages of his brother-in-laws , Isaac and Bryan Goodvin. In his last 4 years he painted 17 pictures and made many woodworks from red cedar. They had 4 children, Nina Joan, Larrell Goodvin, Daryl Wayne and Gordon Kent. "

One tree said Charles S. Roberts, born June 1873 in Kansas, married Anna Brown, and they're in Lansing precinct in 1900 south of Way, with Violet born May 1900 in Colorado.
Charles S. Roberts married Anna Brown November 15, 1899, recorded in Yuma County.
Charles Fred Roberts was born June 5, 1917 at Laird to Charles W. Roberts and Susie M. Gueptnor, and died October 12, 1989.

One tree said he's the C. William Roberts 1877-1942 dying in Spokane Washington # 18899323.

May 2, 1919 "C. W. Roberts, formerly of Wray, has purchased the P. R. Byers ranch, adjoining Yampa on the west, for $100 an acre."

This Chas W. Roberts is in Routt County, Colorado in 1920, 42, married to Susie M. 22 Kansas. Iva is 7, Roscoe 5 both born in Colorado (from his first marriage) Chas F. 2 and Dorothy R. one month born in Colorado.
In 1930 Laramie, Wyoming, Charles W. is 50, divorced, with Iva J. 18 born in Nebraska, and Roscoe 16, born in Colorado. Brother-in-law Charles Deselms 37 born in Nebraska is with him, married but no spouse.
Charlie Deselms was also in the Chase County, Nebraska census in 1930, with Alta 37 and her mother Louisa Roberts 74 and Ruth Roberts 29.

Charles Roberts is in Spokane in 1940, 63, born in Kansas, now married to Verna 36 born in Washington. C. Fred is 22 born in Colorado, and Jean 3 is born in Washington. Fred was in Multnomah County Oregon in 1935, William and Verna were in Whitaker COunty Washington.

Charles Fred Roberts 1917-1989 is buried in Spokane # 152394029.
Roscoe A. Roberts 1915-1941 is buried in Benton County, Washington # 13119634.
Washington death records have him dying July 17, 1941 in Walla Walla, father E. William Roberts, mother Edith Getner.

Iva Jane Roberts Fleetwood Heier 1912-1990 is buried in Colville, Washington # 39638359, with son Charles W. Fleetwood 1932-2014.
Leslie V. Fleetwood died in Colville June 9, 1953, # 39638385.

"Carl FLEETWOOD's parents were Leslie Valentine and Ina Jane HEIER -FLEETWOOD who lived in Evans and Colville, Washington and had 6 sons and 2 daughters. "

Leslie Glen Fleetwood, a longtime resident of Marcus, passed away at his home on Feb. 14, 2016. He was born on April 28, 1934, the second oldest of eight children, to Leslie Valentine and Iva Jane (Roberts) Fleetwood.

Glen was raised and attended school in Ione, Kettle Falls, Colville, Marcus and Cheney, Washington. In 1952 he joined the Washington Air Force National Guard and served un­til 1957. He continued to serve as a reserve until 1960.

In 1957 he married Mildred Iris Shove Smith and together they had three children, Edward Thomas, Richard Paul and Daniel. Glen worked at Taylor Edwards Warehouse in Spokane for many years. He then transferred to Pacific Fruit for Bur­lington Northern Railroad (where he retired).

Mildred passed away in 1988 from the results of a car accident. Glen was also injured and suffered from the effects for the remainder of his life. Several years later he moved to Alaska, which was a great highlight of his life.

In 2000 Glen married Verna Strause and that union brought three more step-children.

He had a great love of the outdoors, from ranch work to hunting and fishing. Glen was interested in anything that had to do with airplanes and spent many hours flying. While living in Alaska, he tried his hand at gold-panning. He also enjoyed working on classic cars and playing cards.

Glen attended the Columbia River Bible Church and was baptized in 2009. This was a very great part of his life. The most precious thing to him was his family and his Lord, which he loved with all his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles "Bill" and Carl Fleetwood; sons, Richard and Daniel Fleetwood.

Glen is survived by his wife, Verna Fleetwood; son, Ed­ward Fleetwood (Barbara); brothers, Don Fleetwood, Richard "Dick" Fleetwood, Lawrence "Jerry" Fleetwood; sisters, Bonnie Leoni, Madeline Yelm; step-children, Elmer Frostad, Chris Frostad, (Pam), Mickey Frostad (Roxanne); five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four step great-grand­children.

The funeral service for Mr. Fleetwood was held Feb. 20 at the Columbia River Bible Church (Kettle Falls), A private family committal was held Feb. 22 at Greenwood Memorial Terrace in Spokane. 4

Charles W. Fleetwood passed away Feb. 20, 2014, at Life Care Center in Lewiston. He was 81.
Charles was born July 9, 1932, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, to Iva Jane Roberts and Leslie Valentine Fleetwood. He worked in the mines of northern Idaho as a youth with his father. After a term in the U.S. Army he started driving a truck, which became his lifelong career.
After being discharged from the Army, Charles married Dorothy Sly in 1950, and they had five children together. They divorced in 1966. He later married Ila Leach in 1969 in Portland, Ore., and they divorced in 2003.
Charles was an avid fisherman and hunter, fishing everywhere he could and hunting across northern Idaho.
Charles is survived by his children, Peggy Benson of Caldwell, Dale and Nancy Fleetwood of Caldwell, Sandy Fleetwood of Wyoming, Val and Kathy Fleetwood of Clarkston, and Bill VanNatta of Lewiston; six siblings, Don Fleetwood of Bonners Ferry, Leslie Glen Fleetwood of Marcus, Wash., Bonnie Leon of Wasilla, Alaska, Richard Allen Fleetwood of Spokane, Madeline Rose Yelm of Parma, Idaho, and Lawrence Gerald Fleetwood of Anchorage, Alaska; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Fleetwood, a month prior to Charles; and by Dorothy Sly, who passed in October 2013.
Services will follow in the spring in Colville, Wash.


May 4, 1916 "The marriage of Miss Alta B. Roberts and Charles Deselms was solemnized Monday morning by Rev. A. N. Wolff, at the manse. Miss Roberts is well known in the vicinity eighteen miles northeast of Wray, as she had taught several terms of school in that neighborhood and her parents reside near Alvin. Mr. Deselms is a stranger to Wray people and came from Lamont, Nebraska."

Charles J. Deselms proved up a quarter in 30, 4N 42W in 1921, and another for Stock, also in 1921, adjoining Enoch Roberts'.

In 1940 Boundary County, Idaho, Charles J. and Alta B. are both 47, with Violet and Velda, both 8.
Ruth Roberts 39 is also with them.

Alta B. Deselms 1892-1978 is buried in Boundary County, Idaho, # 16359766.
So is Charles J. Deselms 1892-1959 # 16359765.
