Bernard Lafler, Logan.

Bernard cash-claimed a quarter in 29, 4S 43W in 1890. Bernard Lafler also had a homestead filing NOT PROVED UP in 8S 64W - 120 miles further west.  

In 1880 Otoe County Nebraska, David Laffler - no occupation - is 51, Sarah 46, with Bernard 14 a laborer.
In 1885 Otoe County, David Laffler is a laborer, 56, widowed, in a boardinghouse.
In 1900 Otoe COunty, "Benjamin" Lafler born March 1866, is farming. David, widowed father, born April 1828, is living with him.
FindaGrave # 789479660 has a David Lafler dying March 1908, buried in Camp Creek, Otoe County.
Sarah Lafler, dying October 1881, is also buried in Camp Creek, per # 78479689.
Bernard married Ella Hammer in Nebraska City, Otoe County June 22, 1905.

Bernard Lafler in 1910 Otoe County, Nebraska, farming, 44, born in Nebraska, with Helen 31 Sweden. They have Ruth J. 3 and Elsa M. two months, both born in Nebraska.
In 1920 Denver, Bernard has no occupation. Ella is 42, immigrating in 1889, naturalized through her husband, with Ruth 12, Elsie 8, both born in Nebraska, and Carl, 6, born in Colorado.
In 1930 El Monte, California, Bernard 64, no occupation, and Ella 48 are living alone, and they're there in 1940, too.

Bernard died June 10, 1948, and is buried in Rosemead, California, Section E, Lot 18, Grave 02, per #26185159.
Ella, per # 26185307, is in Section E, Lot 18, Grave 01.
Ruth I. Lafler, age 78, married Claude T. Nelson April 6, 1985 in Los Angeles.

Ruth Iolarennison Nelson, father Lafler, mother Hammer, born Jan 22, 1907 in Nebraska, died Nov 29, 1996 in San Bernardino County.
