(Bert's brother Robert O. Meek 1868-1947 is buried in Dane County, Wisconsin, # 158838323.

Nora Fitzgerald is in Fremont County, Iowa in 1880, 6, with parents William Fitzgerald 48 and M. 28 (She might be Margaret Carl).

1898 Wray "N.B. Meek, of Eckley, was in the city Saturday."

1899 Wray "Bert Meeks, wife and the babies were in from Eckley Thursday."

1904 Wray "Gene Fitzgerald, who has been spending a year with his sister, Mrs. Meeks, left Wednesday for his home at Falls City Nebraka (sic) "

In 1898, Napoleon B. Meek of Eckley was a witness for the claim onf Algernon E. Miler for land in 21, 1N 45W.
When Napoleon filed for land in 23, 1N 45 W, Albert J. Meek of Wray was a witness.

June 24, 1899 "Mr. and Mrs. Meek came down from Eckley Thursday to have the children's pictures taken."

June 1899 Eckley "A. E. Miller, Bert Meek, Charles and Frank Bogus were out hunting coyotes the first of the week."

In 1900 Yuma County, Eckley precinct, Joshua born Nov 1872 in Indiana, marrief four years to Nora Oct 1873 Iowa. Lawson Feb 1897, Mae Oct 1898 and Almon March 1900 were born in Colorado.

Minnie and Robert are rooming in Denver in 1900 - Minnie married but no spouse, and Robert, 21 is a harness-maker.

Napoleon B. Meek 1842-1911 is buried in Hendricks County, Indiana # 12523062.

October 17, 1911 Indianapolis "Napoleon B Meek, 69, 1716 Brookildo, chronic intestinal nephritis."
Minnie Meek is a seamstress in 1921 in Janesville, Wisconsin, a seamstress.
1903 Wray "Bert Meek had five horses killed by lightning Tuesday."

1905 Wray "Miss Lois Fitzgerald, and Bert Meek, of west of town were in the town Monday."

February 1, 1907 "Bert Meek will have a public sale at his farm three miles northeast of Vernon, on Monday, Feb. 11, 1907, with Joshua Jones as auctioneer. Horses, cow and calf, wagons, implements, harness, household goods, etc., will be sold on the usual terms."

In 1910 they're back in Williams County, Ohio, where J.A. is superintendent at a packimng plant, 37. Nora is 36, Lanson 13, Doris 11, Alvin 10, and Joseph 7, all four born in Colorado.

Nora died in 1916, buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, MAdisonWisconsin.
She's the daughter of William Fitzgerald and Margaret Carl, # 86643161.

In 1920 Joshua Albert Meek is in Milwaukee, an inspector for International Harvestor, with wife Bessie C. Meek.



John Joseph Meek, born at Wray September 25, 1902, died in Haiti May 3, 1920, in the Army, of a gunshot wound. He's buried in Forest Hill.
# 86643162.

Alvin is a clerk in a dairy laboratory, 20, and sister Doris a secretary for a telephone company. 21 are in Madison, Wisconsin in 1920.

1924 "Miss Estella Bartholomew, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bartholomew, Van Dcusen street, and Almon Meek, of this city, will be married on Thursday morning by the Rev. Father Riordan at St. Jin - hureh. A wedding dinner will be served at the home of the bride's parents. After a short wedding trip to Chicago and Milwaukee they will make their home at 025 Lake."

In 1930 Madison, Almon is 30, married six years to Estella B. , 28, born in Wisconsin.

Almon and Estella are in Madison in 1935 and 940, too.

Almon R. Meek of Madison and Norma J. Braasch of Sheboygan married in Sheboygan Wisconisn september 17, 1949.
Almon March 3, 1900-September 11, 1977.

Almon Rouse Meek is buried in FOrest Hill cmeterey, Madison # 86643157, U.S. Army.

" Almon Meek said that his mother Nora could not attend her mother's funeral because she was birthing his brother Joe. He also says he and the rest of his family (J.A. Meek's) moved to Indiana in 1907 and spent some time with his grandparents there, went briefly to Ohio and then wound up in Wisconsin where he remained until he retired to Florida."

In 1930 Dane County, Wisconsin, Doris is married to Paul Grove, a real estate broker, with a son James 1. Doris's ister, Margaret E. Meek 18, born in Wisconsin is with them.

Doris Meek Grove, born October 16, 1898, died in Pinellas County, Florida December , 1988.

Joshua Albert Meek, a salesman born November 17, 1872 in Crawfordsville Indiana to Napoleon and Minnie Meek, widowed, died in San Antorniso Texas May 31, 1947, senile.
The informant was V. B. McClung of 160 South St.  (the 1931 San Antonio directory has a V.B. McClung at 302 S. Alamo)
