James and Emma (YENTER) BIRELEY

JAMES FREDERICK BIRELEY  was born August 21, 1864 in Marysville, Iowa, and died April 13, 1941 in Grand Junction, Colorado,

 He married EMMA E YENTER July 08, 1884 in Trenton, Nebraska. She was born May 10, 1866 in Ackley, Franklin County, Iowa, and died June 05, 1945 in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Emma Bireley, age 52, married E.H. Newman, 51, in Wray on April 20, 1919.
Children of JAMES BIRELEY and EMMA YENTER are:
 WILLIAM JAMES4 BIRELEY, b. March 06, 1887, Trenton, Nebraska; d. June 06, 1958, Grand Junction, Colorado.   He married Rosa Yates

JOHN FREDERICK BIRELEY, b. January 21, 1891, Wray, Colorado; married Mary Noffsinger on April 2, 1916, and died June 13, 1952, Grand Junction,  Colorado.  

MAUDE J. BIRELEY, b. March 18, 1893, Wray, Colorado; d. February 16, 1897, Idaho Falls/Wray, Colorado.  

FRANCES BERTHA BIRELEY, b. April 13, 1896, Idaho Falls, Colorado; d. October 08, 1989, Grand Junction, Colorado.  

ARTHUR D. BIRELEY, b. December 11, 1898, Wray,  Colorado; d. 1955, Grand Junction,  Colorado; m. FLORA;  

FRANK ALBERT BIRELEY, b. August 25, 1905, Wray,  Colorado  d. February 07, 1983, Grand Junction,  Colorado ; m. (1) HAZEL N ; m. (2) E

1906 Rattler "Will Bireley, ten miles south, who had the misfortune to get his arm caught in a threshing separator belt with the result that it was fractured in tthree places, is getting along very nicely considering the nature of the fractures."


1918 "W.D. Johnson was a passenger to Denver Tuesday evening and remained for a two days visit with his son George and family.  Mr. Johnson accompanied Fred Bireley's father, who is quite aged, to the home of relatives in the western part of the state."

In 1920 Grand Junction Fred is 53, and Frances B. 23 is there with her husband Jewel T 27 and  Sons Keith H. 1 and Kenneth F. 1.  Arthur 21 and Frank A. 15 Bireley are with him, too.

In 1930 Fred and Emma are in Pomona. MAYBE.  Emma E. is also in the Wray census, saying she's divorced, living with Frank A. 24.

The 1940 census of Pomona (Near Grand Junction) has Fred 74 and Emma E. 73
